I had the meatloaf and it was delicious, now I have to go back and try the shrimp pesto😀

We visited a struggling River North restaurant to show support, arriving around 5 p.m. on a Saturday when it wasn’t too busy initially. People started to file in after we arrived. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, which already felt like a red flag. It took our waiter 20 minutes to take our drink order, and when he finally came over, there was no apology for the delay. After receiving our drinks, we were discussing going elsewhere to get served dinner to due to the lack of service and told him we needed a minute to look at the menu, but we weren’t checked on again for another 20 minutes. No apology or explanation for the wait.

The owner was present but didn’t step in to help or even acknowledge the delays happening with the restaurant getting busy. Frustrated, we paid for our drinks and decided to leave for food elsewhere. We genuinely wanted to support the business, but the lack of service and communication was extremely disappointing.

A great neighborhood place to gather!

A uniquely relaxing experience eating out. Fined tuned gluttony = whitefish dip, chicken wings and brownie a la mode - all rocked solo🤤

This place is such a hidden gem! My husband and I ate here tonight and had Eden as our server. The atmosphere is very chill and the food is *chefs kiss*. Especially the whitefish dip. Eden made the experience so much fun and she is so sweet.

It wasn’t my first time here, but it was my husbands. After we left he literally said “you need to leave them a good review.”

My first time here and I couldn’t be happier. The atmosphere is tremendous from the moment you walk in with a cool style. Every employee was helpful and knowledgeable, and the menu was great. The North Burger is maybe my new favorite local burger, and there were plenty of other things on the menu that I’m eager to try on return visits. A real gem!

First let me say that the atmosphere of this restaurant is so charming. I love the outdoor space and the interior design decor is so cute. My husband and I were very excited to try this place until we experienced the staff. Our waitress was less than welcoming. She did not smile or act as though she even cared that we walked in as patrons. She did state that her Aunt owned the restaurant which explained alot about her lack of excitement.

My husband and I ordered drinks. He ordered a standard tap beer and I ordered what I thought was a drink that all bartenders knew how to make, a white russian. When my drink came it was a very odd color. After taking a taste and knowing it was not correct, I asked the bartender what was in the drink. It definitely was not a white russian. (his version, regular coffee, milk and vodka). I told him what was actually used to concoct a white russian and he was kind and returned to the bar with the drink. He returned with another drink that was again, not correct.

I'm giving this restaurant a 3 star because although the atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and cute, the staff were definitely not trained well to be performing the job they were hired to do.
