If you're ever in Grand Rapids, this is a must.
Great food with friendly service.
I was in town for 6 months ate breakfast here every day. (Closed Sundays)
Walking through the door for the very first time the host was very warm and welcoming. However, just after being seated the very curt way in which she shared my server's name caught me by surprise. Despite this, Meghan was very attentive and friendly. The French Toast and sausage I ordered was average. The coffee was equally mediocre. Also, it appeared as though the syrup bottle was dirty as it was sticky to the touch.
Who took really long time to get out to the table the server you had to ask more than once to get more water they seem to be more interested in talking on your phone then waiting on their customers
We came in early right after opening. The food was not very warm when brought to the table. The staff was great and very attentive.
Gabby was a great, attentive server. It was a bit loud for conversation but the food made up for it.

Always good food. Portions are good-not ridiculous sized. Options for gluten free, lighter calorie, and/or not fried foods. Best cole slaw hands down. Prices are mid range and staff is always friendly.

Nice, quite historic resturant on the NW side of Grand Rapids. Stop in and be treated as an old friend.

We had a very enjoyable breakfast at Russ’s restaurant on Alpine today, nice size servings, and very reasonably priced. Service was exceptionally good , waitress checked in on us several times. There were lots of additional food items that could be purchased, we didn’t purchase anything because we were out shopping, but the next time in I’m going to try the cinnamon rolls as they looked very tasty.

Clean, very friendly and quick food!
We were just in your restaurant and were seated right away. We waited 10 minutes to have a waitress to come to our table, while watching her go to 2 other tables that were seated after us! Needless to say, we walked out and will never return! I would have given you 0 stars but needed to put one in order to post my review
Absolutely love this location! The staff is incredible, consistent and the food is great! It’s an older school restaurant but still keeps me coming back especially stuff like the mac and cheese! This location specifically is so pretty because they have a big section of glass along the outer wall that is pretty for natural light
