Salvatore's Italian Restaurant & Pizza

Alright now I am a contesuer of very few things in life and that's good music good whiskey and a plate of the ol spaghet. I don't know where to start the culture of the restaurant the authenticity the beautiful music red leather table cloths brick walls plants and pictures galore it felt like I just stepped into Sicily in Michigan of all places who would have thunk it. Now to the food and I don't quite have the words this was hands down the best spaghetti I have ever had but not before the most perfectly cooked and seasoned calamari I have ever had with fresh made garlic bread . fresh soft meatballs that almost melt to the same texture as the robust sauce the sausage that had the perfect amount of seasonings you could just faintly taste the herbs that were there. the noodles were as perfect as the rest of my dish very seldom do I send my compliments to the chef but I did so and left my plates as clean as I could get them this was a true hidden gem and should get a Michelin star

This is a cute restaurant with friendly staff and good food. I wouldn't necessarily say that it was authentic Italian food all the way but everything was tasty and the portion sizes were huge. The tomato sauce and garlic bread were absolutely amazing though!

The $22 Sicilian steak tastes like dog food and they put flavorless canned mushrooms on it and call them “sautéed”. You get noodles and tomato paste for the side.

We should have known when we walked into an empty restaurant that for some reason was playing mexican polka music. The food was bland and tasted like ragu or spaghetti Os. Prices are the same as going to a fancy italian place. The meatballs were bland and fake tasting. Go to olive garden. Anywhere but here

Delicious food, generous portions, & affordable prices. I like to get the fettuccine alfredo or spinach manicotti. The portions are generous as they come with a soup or salad, garlic bread, & the main entre. Service is also always great here!

Best Italian food in Grand Rapids area! 😋 Meatballs were tender& delicious! Chicken Marsala was perfect. Have been going here since the 80's. As good now, as was back then. Don't forget a Cannoli for dessert!

We are from out of town and were looking for a nice Italian restaurant. Salvatore's was where we ended up. The building is quite old and quaint. The server was good enough but the food was average. My wife got chicken piccata and I got the meat ball sandwich. She really enjoyed her meal but I think the bun could have been heartier for my sub. The same bun was used for the garlic bread. We loved the restaurant's rich history.

Weird as hell

We had a basil pesto pasta there and it is one of the best I've had anywhere in Michigan. But the pizza was disappointing, the crust was subpar and fillings were alright. All the appetizers tasted brilliant. Overall, the food was great and the ambiance was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
