Salvatore's Italian Restaurant & Pizza

Salvatore’s made a great choice for dinner. It’s an old school Italian restaurant with a fairly no-frills interior but the food is the classic kind of red-sauce dishes that made the cuisine popular in the US. I got the sampler platter that came with cheese manicotti, cannelloni, and lasagna. It was delicious and very satisfying. They don’t skimp on the sauce or the cheese. Service was good, and it seems like a popular place. If you’re in the mood for some old-fashioned Italian, you can’t go wrong with Salvatore’s. They do a great job.

My husband had a fond memory of this restaurant and when we came to town he was excited to share this restaurant with our family. The outdoor seating was cute and our waitress was nice, but the food was horrible. We did not try the pizza which seems like it may be the way to go, but when i read authentic Italian we chose to have pasta dishes. My husband had spaghetti and meatball parmigiana that in his estimation “tasted like ragu” and he was so disappointed. I ordered a shrimp dish that the waitress told me was “yummy” and when it arrived it was a box of linguini with a stick of butter melted over the top and frozen broccoli and cauliflower as the vegetables. The “tiger prawns” were a handful of small freezer shrimp. I barely ate this and did not take it home. The real issue with this ridiculously inauthentic meal is the price…we paid about $120 for this night out. As much as restaurants are struggling, so are families. So, i write this to say if you want a nice dinner out this is not the place to spend your money at least not anymore.

Waited nearly 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table. When we finally got seated we were told they couldn't make my order even though they had it right there on the menu. Never coming back here. Terrible service!!

It was my first time going there. The food was amazing. Had opportunity of meeting the owner, which was very pleasant and the workers I will be returning.

Fantastic food

The spinach and artichoke dip and bruschetta are great! I ordered the linguine carbonara, and our party agreed that it was one of the best dishes out of the ones we ordered. However, the other options were also good. Friendly staff! The patio seating is nice, and the indoor seating has a nice atmosphere. There is also bar seating. The parking lot is small, but there is overflow parking across the street from the Cherry health building.

Absolutely amazing food. Huge portions, very reasonable prices! Excellent service!

Three strikes I'm out. I've tried this place three times for dinner, and have been unimpressed each time. Italian food is supposed to be flavorful, and their food definitely lacks flavor. The best part of any dinner that we have had was the Caesar salad and the Spumoni chocolate coated ice cream ball. It's really not worth going back for.

Use to eat here as a kid!! Came back and had some lasagna haha I was so excited I didn’t get a pic till the end! Plates were scraped clean!! If you haven’t been here it’s time to!!!
