Website says fridays open till 12, Google says 11, walked in at 10:15 to have the bar tender shout at me that they are closed - but live music was still being played outside?
Trying to support a local Chicago style place but getting chased out two hours before their website says they are closed after driving across town, is lame.

hot dogs were terrible - my father and i bother got the chili and cheese dog and there were scant amount of both fixings on the top. server clearly did not want to be there, which i get, but my guy you gotta do your job. besides the lack of toppings, the actual hot dog meat was chewy and gross. really overall hated me experience here.

The food is great, but don’t waste your time dining in. I’ve been here a handful of times and the service is trash. Came here today expecting to eat outside, asked prior to if outside seating was available, server/bartender came out with menus and never came back with drinks. We were outside for at least 10 minutes waiting.
Other servers aren’t friendly and forgetful. Disappointing because this place has so much potential

My first time here, got the Chicago beef with hot peppers and a side of au jus. The beef was flavorful and spicy and the au jus was great too. I will definitely be coming back and hope to eat at the bar next time when I have time to do so so I can pair it with an Olde Style. Excellent restaurant!

Way better than Portillos. My only rec is get the regular beef with mozzarella. Cheese sauce on a beef is just weird.

A coworker made me aware of the existence of Chicago Beef Joint and now it's my happy place for lunch. The Itallian Beef with hot giard and baptized in Au Jus is the way. Chili cheese fries are ridiculously good. Looking forward to checking out their other menu/live music options.

Owner yells at customers to get away from bar instead of asking politely. Never go there you feel like your not worth going into that bar!
