Sandy's has been a westside institution for as long as I can remember. Nothing is done half-arsed - from the donuts to the hot cocoa - everything is done right. Sandy's has a wide variety of both cake and yeast donuts. My personal favs: 4+ varieties of jelly filled, different frosting options on their cinnamon buns and long johns, and those cherry fritters...absolutely primo.
Probably the best donut I've had in a VERY long time! A great assortment of flavored coffee as well. I was there around 9:30, the line was long and by 10:30 the donuts were dwindling...so get there early!
Really liked the donuts and the tea we got, not sure if it was because we stopped at the end of their Saturday hrs and might have cause a bit of frustration with the owner/manager, but I didn’t appreciate the tone of voice or the attitude in comparison with the rest of the staff that were very cheerful. If you stop by make sure is not 30min before they close!
