The Wilderness has chosen...Sara's Sweets as the best bakery in GR! I was so nervous to submit my very niche request for a Yellowjackets themed cake for my birthday/the S3 premiere. I sent a few inspiration photos, but had no idea what to expect. When I say they exceeded my expectations, that is an understatement. The cake was PERFECT. From the hand-carved chocolate antlers, to the hidden rune symbols, to the HELIOTROPE purple cake color, I couldn't have imagined a better outcome. The best part? It was DELICIOUS!! Almond cake, almond buttercream frosting & chai frosting filling. We demolished it faster than they demolished Jackie! ;) THANK YOU for making this Antler Queen's dreams come true! :)

Ordered a Magic the Gathering themed cake and it was spectacular design-wise and flavor-wise. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and strawberry filling was amazing!
100% recommended!

Bought the birthday cake for my sister she wanted a key lime flavored cake so it wasn't a common flavor... And it was accomplished within 48 hours I really appreciated their service I'm definitely going back for my nieces gender reveal and any other occasion I have Good job Sarah sweets!

They are hands down the best! I’ve been coming to them for the past 6 years for every birthday cake for my kids. They are a gem of a bakery and really deliver on quality - both the look and taste.

One of the weirdest bakeries that I’ve been to.

The lobby is very eclectic and has books/cards for sale, along with kids toys on display tables, and fake flowers in 5 gallon buckets throughout. There was also cake stands everywhere - on shelves, tables, the counter, etc.

We ordered a dozen of filled and unfilled cupcakes ($39). The cupcakes are very dense, not light and fluffy. Now I think of a filled cupcake with a filling injected inside, but Sara’s Sweets definition is to put a dollop of filling on top of the frosting on the cupcake. Kind of defeats the purpose and so glad we didn’t use their services for my sister’s upcoming wedding or another event.

Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday surprise for my daughter’s 21st Birthday. She attends college in Grand Rapids and we live in another state and didn’t want to travel with the cake. Sara’s Sweets was recommended on a parent’s FB group. I sent in a photo with a quote request and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Not only was the cake gorgeous but was delicious! Several layers of red velvet and cream cheese frosting. Highly recommend!!

Wish I could do 0 stars, ordered a cake from this place and it was completely ruined when opened it, my mother and I both asked them MULTIPLE times if it needed to be refrigerated because it was cold when we got it and they told us no. When we opened the box it looked like that! spoke with Tracy and got hung up on and told oh well and they would issue no refund or help with a partial refund! Never again will I order from the horrible company!

Never in my life will I go to Sara's Sweets bakery again. Wish I could do 0 stars, ordered a cake from this place and it was completely ruined. Tracy hung up on me and was treated horrible!

I have used Sara's Sweets Bakery twice now for very special events. And I cannot tell you how quickly those cakes disappeared. The overall consensus was that the cakes were beautiful, moist, and tasted delicious. The only complaints were that I didn't get big enough cakes. I will continue to go to this bakery for my party events.
