The bread that I get from here is fantastic.
I have been a loyal and happy customer for 15 plus years, hear that, more than fifteen years! And to learn that these B’s have been holding out on me. The absolute nerve! They have been holding out on the carrot cake… keeping it hidden somewhere… away from me! It’s !&$/“?> garbage. I am warning ya’ll right now DO NOT get the carrot cake, you might die of happiness. Heaven on earth right there it is. Here I thought that pie company or the round cake place had the best. No. Just fricken no. This gooey glorious deliciousness. I’m telling ya. You know the worst part!?! They could totally have itty bitty toothpick sample bites and let us know! But NO. It’s like some top secret sauce for their keeping. Ridiculous! I will have you know that my Birthday is coming up and you BETTER save me a piece. The nerve!!! FIFTEEN years! I feel like someone owes me an apology! 5 stars I would share a picture but I ate it all. And than licked the carry out box. Don’t you dare judge me!
Stopped in on the way though town to try their doughnuts. Guy behind the counter was friendly and patient while kids picked theirs. They had some different varieties. Overall they were good, but not enough to go out of the way for. They were mostly yeast doughnuts and the cake ones weren't very dense. Great filling on the custard ones though! Fritter flavor was pretty good but I prefer them denser and chewier. Great if you like light and fluffy doughnuts though! $1 to $1.25 each.
Extremely small parking lot though, use caution.
Very friendly staff, excellent fritters, great paczki, and good bread.
GET THAT ALMOND POPPYSEED MUFFIN NOW!!! Stopped by on a whim after shopping at their neighbors (Grand Rapids Bike Company). What a great bakery that I would not have discovered had I not been walking by.
Seriously, that almond is still calling to me. Such a great muffin top and unbelievably soft and moist muffin body. I need more.... but my waist line is happy this place is across town 😆
Also got the cinnamon raisin bread which was wonderful with morning breakfast.
I did not have any Donuts, but they did look really good. The store front may look a little rough, but get past that! Seriously, the food is top notch! Ok.... I'm heading out for a muffin now.... 🚴♀️
Great donuts
This is an old school bakery with the best donuts, fritters and bread. Affordable and absolutely delicious. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this book...it's the pages that matter!!
