If the person looks like Malcolm McDowell, you're in the right place.
Straightforward & quality ingredients.
Prices seem as fair as they can be for the area, nostalgic of simpler times.

Excellent, affordable and simple. Does not conform to hipster trends and not an ounce or pretentiousness in the location or the menu. Keep up the great work.

As sub sandwiches go, Ski's is fast and delicious. They give you what you want, chat with you a bit and you leave you with a little more cash than the other sub places. And supporting a local business is important! I highly recommend Ski's!

I just happened to stumble upon this shop when I was looking for a good sandwich/sub downtown. The atmosphere is small and cozy, the service is fast, employees are super friendly. Even while I was sitting down eating, some regulars came in and they chatted with the employees like they were old friends. The prices are hard to beat too, and the food was extremely good because of the fresh ingredients. I highly recommend them if you want a quick and affordable meal!

Great place for a sub made with the freshest ingredients you can find. The veggies always crunch, the bread is always soft and perfectly chewy! The owners are great people, too. My only complaint is they’re too humble to ask for a tip on my card, so bring cash if you want to tip!

Ski's Sub Shop exceeded all my expectations. The menu, while simple and unpretentious, is a refreshing change from overly complicated options found in many other establishments. The straightforward approach allows the quality of the ingredients to shine through. What truly sets Ski's Sub Shop apart is their exceptional service. The staff is not only incredibly friendly but also impressively speedy in delivering orders. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency without compromising the warm and welcoming atmosphere.Another noteworthy aspect is the affordability of their lunch prices. Ski's Sub Shop offers some of the most competitive prices I've come across, making it an excellent choice for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal.Overall, I wholeheartedly consider Ski's Sub Shop an unsung gem in Grand Rapids. With its no-frills menu, prompt and friendly service, and unbeatable lunch prices, it undoubtedly deserves a 5/5 rating.

This is still one of the best places to grab a quick lunch downtown. Lunch deals are unbeatable, service is VERY friendly and fast.

Kid-friendliness: This is an amazing spot for picky eaters who might not like some of the more 'exotic' fare downtown. Service is friendly and very fast. The food is great and isn't at all expensive if you're buying for a larger number of kids/adults.

Been to Ski's several times and they really serve up the best subs in town. Owners Pete and Kelly are incredibly accommodating and attentive with their culinary creations. And the prices are reasonable and not out of line; especially when there are chains & franchises charging nearly double for less than fresh and tasty subs.Theirs are the best hero sandwiches I've ever eaten since moving from the East Coast and that's saying a great deal. It's all old school and made with love.

Parking: Monroe Parking

Dietary restrictions: Variety of fresh veggies.

Friendly staff but felt there was nothing special about sandwiches and price.
