Looked like a cool place and the staff was friendly (just super busy), but don't order Chi Tea to go. It costs $17 for two 12 oz Chi Tea drinks that tasted like plain strong coffee. I could not even drink mine, and it took thirty minutes to order and receive them.

Food was ok, not a fan of waffles and chicken, BUT, the place has a killer ambience, great drinks and wonderful staff. The place is not big so be mindful of that when dining with a big group. Tons of Instagram-worth backgrounds to take pictures at. I say that because I saw a bunch of young people coming to the restaurant just to take pictures. I hope they come back for actual food! BTW, they do check IDs! It was funny to see kids using a fake ID to get drinks.

So I'm from Massachusetts working 7 days a week 12 hour shifts in carson city after 21 days of working they make us take a paid fatigue day..so we decided to come to grand rapids had a great dinner that night and so on...the next day we saw this inviting place called Social misfitss,pur server was this PERFECT woman named Tanya she was sweet, polite hard worker and great to talk to! I hope to go back and she's working again everyone who I met that day was very nice Tany was just a little better.....truly yours Mike.J

Loved this place! The drinks are delicious and beautiful and the food is unique and also delicious. Great spot right next to the residence Inn downtown
I agree with what someone else said about the music being oddly loud here. Food was delicious with somewhat higher prices, but that was expected. It's somewhat in the heart of grand rapids so not a surprise. The Hashtag was spectacular, a great brunch choice. Service was lacking in terms of speed and knowledge. Server just took a little longer to get back to us about this and wasn't aware of the new features. I would come here again.

Social Misfits has a special place in my heart. I avoided it for like two years because I thought it was stupid, then I went and discovered I missed out on two years worth of deliciousness. How can one place have so many incredibly tasty unique waffles? My favorites are the blueberry lemon waffle, the Mac and cheese one with chicken, and their AMAZING monte cristo. I daydream about that monte cristo sometimes.
Additionally, every coffee drink I've gotten has been perfect. Fav is the dirty chai tea latte.
Very visually interesting aesthetic. The dark wood with gold accents is lovely. Can't get enough of those taxidermied goats wearing headphones. Delightful!!!!
I'm not quite physically comfortable every time I go - the tables feel a little too small, glasses a little too small, and I'm kinda cold. But everything else makes it worth it.
