I love this place. but, unfortunately today wasn't a good experience. I had gotten the catfish it wasn't as fresh as usual and the greens we definitely not cooked all the way with little to no season we it being Thursday I wasn't expecting this at all! Any other time I would give it 4~5 ā but today I must say a 3ā

This restaurant is the true definition of HIT OR MISS. Been here a handful times and thought I found me a good ole āafter church spotā. My first couple of visits both the food and customer service were both excellent. The other couple times on the flip side have made me question if I want to come back. Probably like my 3rd visit here I purchased two plates and both received hard yams. They also ran out of muffins and brought out another pan soon after which Iām sure was made with the hot water cornbread mix instead of a traditional cornbread muffin mix. Itās like they just rushed and made them with hot water cornbread mix just to get any old thing out. We didnāt complain because again, weāve frequented this place and thought maybe it was just an off day. I havenāt been for a few weeks and decided I wanted some good eats after church today. I had my elderly grandmother waiting for me so I decided we would just get take out. I went with the baked chicken meal for myself and the rib tips meal for her. Both with yams and Mac and cheese. YAMS=HARD AS A ROCK. AGAIN! I donāt know whoās making the yams at this place but PLEASE cook them longer! The ribs were fatty and tough and just did not look or taste pleasing. My chicken had a very pungent fishy odor which I couldnāt tell if it was because it was alongside fried fish on the line or if the smell was because it was rotting. EITHER WAY! It turned me COMPLETELY OFF so much so that I drove all the way back across town and politely asked for my $50 back. If youāre trying this place out scope out the food before you actually purchase it. Again, this is one of those places thatās considered HIT OR MISS. Keep your fingers crossed cause you donāt know what youāll get!

I was very unhappy with the food I received letās start with the yams they were still hard and not sweet at all, I ordered white meat fried chicken I received 1 wing and 1 thigh instead of a breast, the dressing tastes just like sage it was so strong. I paid $41.62 on 2 dinners and I feel as I wasted my money. I have eaten here before and it was nothing like this It always been a little expensive for the amount of food you get but I didnāt mind cause the taste was there. Iām most definitely will not be going back.

This place has a great formula for a quick lunch, food was clearly made by someone who loves feeding people. The mac and cheese is insane and haven't had a bad main course. If you're from the south or have lived in the south- this is the type of Cat fish you crave. If you're lucky enough to be there when they have Red Beans and Rice get it.

Y'all!!!!! My mouth is so happy!! Flavor poppin'!! Meatloaf balls made with love and flavor that have a true homemade texture...and the sauce!?!? Oh my! And the Mac n Cheese is true! No premade junk here, I even got some real, dark, pan edges....heaven! GR, take note and GO!!! You will NOT regret it!!!!

Ordered $20 worth of food from them online and didn't receive it. Emailed and DM them and didn't get a response. Call on multiple days during their working hours and they don't pick up. It's been a couple of days and still no pie or refund. š

This place was great! We stopped in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. Grab some sides and some killer meats. The meatballs and the spicy honey tenders were mind blowing. I highly recommend!
This is why blk business never lives long. Says they close at 6:30 however at 5:40pm all the doors locked no one in sight than you canāt even call in and place an order online to pick up so you have to drive there just for them to not be open yall suck! šš¾šš¾šš¾
