the BEST cold brew in Grand Rapids, the best baristas, and the best cinnamon rolls (via Lucy's)!

By far the best coffee shop in GR! I drive out of my way to go there. The staff is friendly and treats everyone so kindly. The environment is just beautiful. I love that Kingma's Is right next-door to.

We just moved to the NE side of Grand Rapids and we love having Sparrows Coffee within walking distance. My go to is a decaf latte and my son and daughter love the granola bars. It's such a welcoming atmosphere and we're looking forward to many trips.

A very friendly and kind shop. They had good quality coffee and a nice place to get work done on my computer with free WiFi. There isn’t a ton of space for people so I almost couldn’t find a spot to work inside even though there were only 4 other customers sitting down. It’s a very cozy space though with tons of natural light. It is on the south side of Kingmas market so that from the parking lot that Google maps directed me to I couldn’t see the coffee shop. I had to walk through the grocery store to get to the coffee shop but it wasn’t hard to find

Our favorite GR coffee shop. Great neighborhood vibe and awesome coffee. We visit at least once a week and buy their beans for our at home espresso machine! Love their rotating seasonal flavors (that are made in house!!!)!

Absolutely phenomenal! In town visiting family and went to Sparrows for the first time after hearing their raved reviews. The coffee is ethically sourced and so delicious that we picked up a bag to take home while shopping at Kingma’s next door. The really stunning part of the experience was the open and inviting energy of the folks working behind the counter. Both Kat & Sydney were knowledgeable, beyond friendly and the type of people who make you feel like a regular even when it’s your first time there! Incredible coffee shop, impeccable vibes ✨

If you have not tried Sparrows coffee, you have not lived life to its fullest! This coffee is superb. The staff is not only friendly and artistic, but they also make in-house syrups, and fun combinations of flavors. Coffee is a must and try some of the Lucy's baked goods if you need a bite to eat. Sparrows is fantastic. LGBTQ+ friendly is also a bonus.

Lovely mid-day convo and dog-watching meet-up with a new friend. The coffee was great; lemon poppy-seed muffin was perfect. Sparrows can’t be beat.

I've gone through a few bags of Sparrows in the past month or so and holy smokes, they're roasting some of the most delicious coffee on Human Earth. Thanks for making such delicious and sip-able beans, Sparrows!

I was in town yesterday and stopped by for a Lady Lazarus. I remember ordering them at the first location years ago, and it still tastes the same. It totally transported me back to when I used to live in GR. It's the best lavender latte I've ever had. Iconic even. Anyways, I borrowed a charger for a moment to get me back to my hometown an hour away, and my car totally malfunctioned on my way home, and I THANKFULLY had phone battery to call the people I needed. So, thanks for having me. I got some knitting done, reflected on the time I lived in Grand Rapids with a delicious coffee and an extremely kind staff there to help. 5 stars for sho.

On food, service, and atmosphere I give Sparrows 5 stars. Really, just an all-around great place. However, their prices have gotten a bit out-of-hand, to the point that it is no longer affordable for me. For the last year, I would visit Sparrow 1-2 times a week, as a treat toward the end of the week. Initially, the price of a 12 ounce take-away coffee was $2.92. It then rose to $3.71. This past week it rose again to $4.24.

I can no longer justify spending nearly $5 on a plain cup of coffee. It makes me sad, as I really enjoy everything about Sparrow - and I would have to imagine the rise in cost will lead to less tips for the exceptional staff.
