First time visiting. Had a gift card and thank goodness I did! I would’ve been livid if I actually paid cash! I ordered a traditional cappuccino. In my experience, a cappuccino is meant to be sweet. I took one sip of what I was given and I almost choked because it was so bitter! It tasted like sour karob! I literally have never tasted anything that bitter before… Definitely not going there again!

I just went to Sparrows Coffee Shop for the first time. It is such a cool vibe. The baristas were super friendly. I'm not a coffee drinker but they have a good selection of hot teas. It is connected to Kingma's on Plainfield. I would highly recommend checking this place out!!

Sparrow's coffee inside Kingma's market is SO GOOD! I'm from Los Angeles and every time I'm in town, this is the place to go for good coffee and great people.A bonus is being able to shop freshly roasted beans, both from Sparrow's and other local roasters, inside Kingma's Market after grabbing your coffee.Absolutely love it here and highly recommend for delicious, artisan coffee.

This is a tiny coffee shop with delicious coffee and friendly staff. You can get decaf fancy coffee, which I appreciate!There are only a few parking spaces near the entrance, but you can park next door at Kingma's and access it by walking through the store.
This is such a cute coffee shop, and I didn't know it was there for the longest time!! I've been shopping at Kingma's for years, but I never knew if you venture through the little hall towards the back that it leads into Sparrows Coffee! I only discovered it earlier this year since they are a pickup location for Sunday Bakeday.The times I've been in it hasn't been super busy, but I'm usually there at 10 or 11 am on a Sunday. Their drinks that I've tried have been really tasty, and the wait time isn't super long. I just wish it were a little closer to my house. They have a few more specialty drinks I really want to try. Definitely check them out if you're around the Creston/Plainfield area, or if you just want a good coffee!

Light space to work/relax in. I personally like the ambiance with the pink/bamboo/white decor. I tried the pumpkin one, which was delicious and served at perfect temperature. This coffee spot is connected (literally) to Kingma’s market, which was a fun surprise. It’s a really cute spot to enjoy some good coffee. I was expecting it to be larger inside than it actually is, but they do a good job with using the space available for seating. The parking isn’t too terrible and it is ADA compliant as far as I can see. I will be coming back to enjoy this space, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed

Stark environment, not cozy at all. Good for a business meeting not a cozy chat. The staff are ok, not very friendly. Small selection of coffees. I'd say if you need to get work done this is your place. If you want an intimate conversation go somewhere else.

Can’t say enough good about this Sparrow’s location coming into the Kingma’s building. It’s got a great neighborhood vibe and feels like it’s been there forever. The staff is always great, you can snag a Basalt breakfast burrito or some groceries while you’re there, and their one of the few places in town you can get a matcha latte that isn’t overloaded with sweetness. Wish that hadn’t a bit more seating but otherwise 10/10.Vegetarian options: From the Basalt breakfast burritos there’s a vegetarian and vegan option. Not a lot of food choices but what they have are vegetarian friendly.
