My daughter's wedding reception was held here and it was a fabulous time! The venue is awesome! We Gen X'rs remember it when it was Michigan National Bank, and had the weather ball attached to it.

Beautiful venue! My daughter had her Sweet 16 here in May. Everyone was so nice to work with and the party was a BIG success! My daughter’s dream come true!! Would 100% recommend!

We worked with Madison at The Ballroom at McKay to plan our Client Christmas Party at Advantage Commercial Real Estate. All the details of our party went smoothly thanks to her preparation and on our on-site coordinator. The venue was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The best part is we didn't even need to stay extra late until our vendors left - our coordinator made sure everything was out on time. Super smooth and really easy to work with, and a great venue!

It's proximity to hotels, Rosa Park circle, and all things downtown are a huge plus for guests to enjoy the city as well as the event.

The vault is so cool as well and can be used for either a photo booth space or a speakeasy!

The Ballroom at McKay is a beautiful venue. We had our wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour and reception in the space. The outside vendors were all thrilled when we told them we using this venue because they like to work in this beautiful space, too. There are many additional services that can be added onto the basic space use. The venue coordinators and staff were great to work with. They had good ideas for improving our wedding, adding personal touches, and working with us to make our vision for the day a reality.

The Ballroom at McKay is a suburb venue in the heart of Grand Rapids. The nonprofit I work for was able to get a grant to host an event there, and the staff was so kind and accommodating well in advance it. Our planner, Madison, made sure everything ran smoothly before and during the event. If you are hosting an event in Grand Rapids, I could not recommend McKay more strongly!

Excellent, beautiful venue and rock star staff. I called Callie on a Thursday afternoon when my client wanted me to find a venue for a film shoot on Monday. We didn’t know if we could pull it off with so little time but Callie got my client the paperwork and even came in to show my camera man the space on the weekend. Impressive and it worked out great!

LOOKING FOR MORE INFO ON THE GROUP OF WOMEN THAT ASSAULTED ME SATURDAY NIGHT, SEPTEMBER 14th

On this night, my friend and I were pretty desperate to find a bathroom and unable to locate one, and a couple in the elevator let us know we could use the one upstairs. After using the bathroom, a group of women (looking to be around 35+) were waiting for me, a large blonde woman comes at me and throws a glass of wine in my face, shoves me into the door, tries to throw punches at me, and continues shoving me out. No words were said, straight to violence. Was not even able to let them know their attendees had given us permission to use the restroom upstairs. Just immediately violent.

I am a young woman and the other person I was with was a bit older, and they immediately backed off when she came to help me get out of being collectively beaten and shoved by these grown women. It really seemed they had targeted me, and me specifically because I was way smaller and younger. Very classy group of women. I am not happy with this as it was a mistake and misunderstanding, I’ll be doing what I can to further look out to identify the group that did this to me.

We hosted an event at this venue - it’s amazing. The historic room has great lighting and our caterer loved the kitchen! I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for an event up to 200 people. All the staff is friendly and helpful!
