Who can go wrong with BBQ, and Smokey Bones knows their BBQ. Food and drinks are amazing. Shout out to the friendly and professional bartender Kelsey for making the visit extra enjoyable.
Great place for lunch at the bar
We went there for their buy 1 get 1 brisket. By 5:30 they were sold out. I then picked smoked chicken wings as I had them before. And loved them. What I was served was fried dried out chicken wings. Needless to say I was disappointed.
absolutely terrible they missed out on a whole mash potatoes 4 DRINKS and almost all the sauces terrible service wouldn’t suggest
Enjoyed my first time visit to Smokey Bones today for lunch. Both the food and atmosphere was great and the service with our waitress Lauren was exceptional. I’m looking forward to my next visit.
Staff was nice. Food was awful. It used to be an ok place for a chain. Just a bad place to go now. Sausage was terribly dry and brisket was too. We won’t be back
Service was immediate and helpful, beer was cold with a good draft selection, several TVs. Food was prompt and good, I would not hesitate to come back.
I have literally NEVER gotten a correct order from The Burger Experience. Not to mention their burgers and food are quite mediocre and sub-par to say the least. And apparently it's a virtual brand operating inside of Smokey Bones or something. I certainly cannot recommend them. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. It won't happen again.
Horrible horrible horrible. Ask for well done and you get a bleeding burger.
terrible service, place has gone way down hill. won't be back

our server kelsey is friendly and phenomenal and very efficient. our cook reggie f. if you ever get over here that dude is one phenomenal chief. and have both of them serve you. this place is phenomenal. i give these 2 a 10 out of 10 thats how good they are
food was great but the wait was terrible, we went for all you can eat wings and it took at least 20/30 min between orders, they were not busy, took us 2.5 hours to get 12 wings to eat unfortunately, wont return.. cooks definitely need to step it up or don't offer the special.. server was polite and knew we were upset on waiting so long
Even though they were short staffed on a Friday night, we were taken care of in a timely manner. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and the portions generous.
My husband and I don't make it to Grand Rapids often but when we do we always make a point to stop in at Smokey Bones! We have been extremely lucky with the seating and the excellent servers. Our servers we have had in the past, MakenzieO and Kelsey F have been fantastic! Very attentive but not overbearing, very friendly and personable. Today we were lucky to have Kelsey as our server again and she was just as friendly and prompt as before. Also the dishwasher, Robert was wiping tables and also spoke with us and made us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend not only Smokey Bones for the great service but the wonderful food. Everything is so tasty and filling!
I cannot say enough positive words about Smokey Bones in GR. we love coming as a family. We always ask for our favorite server Kelsey. From the first visit, she went above and beyond with her customer service skills. She took the time to make sure our toddler who is three has enough distractions while waiting for her food. She also took the time to make sure her food came out ASAP. Its now a tradition of at least twice a month we come and ask for Kelsey! She is such a huge reason to why we come there. They truly have a gem having her on staff!
