I had a most lovely experience conversing with Heather, on Saturday morning. She was relaxed and engaging in our discussion of all things cheese related especially the proper storage paper I'd specifically came in to purchase.
Though we don't always patronize this location, my husband & I are always grateful that GR has a top notch cheesemonger such as Cheese Lady - we count ourselves amongst the lucky citizens in our city to benefit from their business.
Yet, Cheese Lady is more than just that; it's a haven for epicureans to indulge and interact. Definitely a hallmark for anyone knowledgeable in the art and appetite of cheese.

I would give a higher rating, however our cheese server Becca helped herself to the samples we requested, and did NOT CHANGE her GLOVES after. It was highly unprofessional and probably not a servsafe certified action. Other than that, huge selection of cheese.

The friendly staff was fabulous to work with, they had suggestions for new things for me to try based on things I've enjoyed previously. The paring suggestions led to things I never would have tried together becoming new favorites. I was delighted to be able to find some cheeses to share with my partner who can't have dairy to add to a charcuterie board.

I ordered some cheeses to be ready for us for a trip up to Leland from Jane. I used to work in a cheese chop and I could tell the pieces had been freshly cut and were packaged perfectly. I also asked her if I could have flowers delivered to surprise my lady when she picked them up and Jane was more than accommodating and it worked out perfectly. I'm so grateful Jane went the extra mile for us, it made our trip that much better. Thank you SO much!!!
