This restaurant came recommend to me as the best steakhouse in Grand Rapids. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly (Kathryn) and answered all my questions. The atmosphere is perfect for a fancy date. Very romantic setting to impress. I don't drink alcohol and they had an alcohol free 0% Giasen Merlot which was exquisite. I started with French Onion Soup and Cheese Popover Muffins. For an entree, I had Australian Rib Lamb Chops with a Mint Demi Glase. For a side, I enjoyed Brussels Sprouts with Honey Dijon Mustard Sause. Everything exceeded my expectations and the Merlot paired nicely with the Lamb Chops. I highly recommend the Chop House as a must visit dining destination in the heart of Grand Rapids.
Exceptional service and atmosphere! We visited for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner. Filet mignon, lamb chops, wine, beer, and topped it all off with dessert. Everything tasted amazing!!

Very bougue and overrated. It is a great experience that everyone should enjoy at least once in a lifetime. I came for my anniversary, and the bill was outrageous and nothing special for my day did I receive.

I really liked my steak. My wife was not as impressed with hers. Service was great. It was a little loud in the dining area.

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic dinning experience with coworkers on a business trip. I had the 11oz filet which was cooked to perfection. Sides to share were also great, from the potatoes, lobster gnocchi, mushrooms, and even the broccoli all paired with a red wine.

High end, high priced, but very worth it if that is what you’re looking for. The atmosphere is low light, business casual (plus), and very much a wine cellar vibe. The staff is organized, attentive and professional. Part of the draw is the group staff synchronized entree delivery. Appetizers are small but delectable. The oysters are tender and from Eastern/Boston area. Sides are intended to be shared family style - with four of us we shared two sides. I won’t describe the food too much because i don’t think I could do it justice.

The service was good, and the atmosphere was as expected for a chop house. We sat at the bar. The menu was awesome. I love that they had it on an electronic tablet. I enjoyed the appetizer, which was the spicy morroccan shrimp. My husband really enjoyed his cowboy steak. I ordered the lobster bisque, which tasted almost like just heavy cream. It lacked seasoning and lobster. I also had a salad, which was subpar. The mac and cheese was also bland. The broccoli was pretty good. When I am back in Grand Rapids, I will definitely pick a different restaurant for the price we paid for average food.
