Sometimes in the dead of Summer you just need ice cream! I highly recommend the Cone Shoppe for those days. They have a tremendous selection and their staff is friendly and helpful. I do believe they are a cash only operation.
Excellent ice cream (they have good soft serve, without the chemical taste that some ice cream shops have), and we've always had friendly service. They have some discounts (such as coupon in Entertainment book, and for the Spokes Up Challenge--ride your bike there and you get a free kiddie cone, if you have the Spokes Up card). The only thing lacking is the atmosphere, not because there's anything wrong with the building or upkeep, but there's just no shade, and...
Great place to grab some ice cream ? they have a fantastic variety of choices to choose from. I've been going here for years and have never once been disappointed!!! They're my favorite ice cream place in Grand Rapids!
