Tried Slaw, Coney and Ruben dogs and they were great. It would be perfect if they did fries because with all the ingredients they have. The fries could be just as fun. Definitely if you have the chance, stop in and try them out. I will be back again

Plenty of styles of dogs to choose from cajun vegan all beef jumbo beef some other ones too, they have nachos and walking tacos as well. I've gotten the Chicago dog and the big dog and both are really good Chicago one is very interesting haha but I liked it

This place is the BEST!!!! We use Door Dash a lot at my job, because we only get a half hour for lunch, which isn't long enough to always go out grab a bite to eat. Every time I have placed an order at The Dog Pit for delivery, it shows up PERFECT! Never any mistakes, and never forgetting part of your order. Their attention to details is outstanding! I had an order for multiple people, and in the additional comments, I asked them to put people’s names on their order...and they did it without any problems. If you're a hot dog fanatic like me, you will love the Dog Pit! I just wish they were open later into the evening!

Multiple dogs are packaged in one box. My husband ordered a chili dog and I ordered a Rueben. They were in the same container...not individually wrapped. Needless to say my kraut ended up on my husband's ( who despises kraut) and chili all over my kraut. Also ordered my husband's dog with no onion and it's covered in them hidden under the chili so he can't pick them off even. Unfortunately we will NOT be back.

Ok food. Would like to see them have something unique no one else offers.

My bf and I still come here everytime he's in town. It was one of our first dates and we are OBSESSED. their veggie dogs and plant based dogs are both phenomenal options for vegetarians and vegans. BLESS UP

Admittedly, I have a little bit of a skewed review for this joint because I partook in their VERY challenging - hot dog eating challenge. Before getting to that, the restaurant itself was pretty cool. They had tshirts you could buy hanging on the wall and interesting art, but this is intentionally a no frills type of spot. You come there for good dogs, and that's it. Their menu was quite expansive, and very creative. Loved all the options they had, and the size of the dogs are fair compared to price. You easily could be full with 2 hotdogs with toppings (minimal toppings, I'd go 3) So on to the challenge: 12 dogs, 4 toppings on each, have to eat in 4 hours. I beat it!! So I got an awesome "wall of hogs" shirt and my name will be on a plaque in the restaurant. Also - the only charged $1 a dog for winning, so it was worth risking. So whether you are looking for a quick lunch or want to see how many hot dogs your body can handle, this is a good spot to hop into when visiting Grand Rapids.

absolutely delicious everytime. Not a chili dog where you only eat chili and bread. Dogs and bread are local

Order counter style restaurant with quick service and good food. Old Chicago Dog is my favorite!

Super accommodating for a small birthday party lunch after ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle. Their flexibility allowed us to plan a budget get-together without needing to spend crazy money - and financially commit in doubtful weather - on one of those indoor kid fun places. Skating plus the Dog Pit is a must when you're downtown in winter!
