Terrible service. Won't go back. The owner is rude.

Fantastic food and excellent service! Never disappointed when I eat here! They also use the highest quality imported ingredients, not your basic run-of-the-mill stuff you can grab from the grocery store. Definitely my favorite spot in town!

What a hidden gem of a restaurant. Some of the finest cuisine in Grand Rapids. The service was outstanding. I wish we had heard about this place sooner.

My family will be back soon.

The service was excellent. However, despite eating here early in the evening they were out of egg noodles for both the beef bourguignon and the coq au vin. If we had not been with such a large party I would have left the restaurant. At these very high prices there is no excuse for being out of such a basic ingredient. Meijer is right across the street, they could have purchased noodles there. Both dishes suffered significantly from having linguine being substituted for the egg noodles. Others have also noted that the restaurant is often out of menu items. Call ahead to check.

Your response to my review was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. The point of my review was that egg noodles from Meijer would have been superior to the plain, run of the mill linguine that you substituted! Furthermore, at 68 you I am likely older than you and a pretty decent cook in my own right. I could have done just as well at home. Lastly, your prices are
exorbitant. I had better beef bourguinon in Paris last fall for literally half the price. Rest assured that I will never visit your restaurant again and I will recommend anyone who asks to avoid your restaurant.

This Grand Rapids gem exceeded all my expectations! The food was cooked to perfection, and the chef personally checked to ensure my chicken was exactly how I wanted it. The owner greeted every customer warmly, as if they were old friends, creating an atmosphere that undoubtedly encourages repeat visits.

I live 2 1/2 hours away. Let me tell you about this place. Oh my gosh! Great food. The best service, and the atmosphere was excellent. The owner personally made us feel welcomed and made us these beautiful delicious dishes that were out of this world. I recommend anyone wanting excellent food go check them out. Such a hidden gem in Cascade, Michigan. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

EB used to be a favorite of ours since back in 2009-ish but they are just so inconsistent now. In 2023, we dined in 4 times and 3 times their signature beef bourguigon was not available. It was also not available once for takeout. Last month, we were told the beef was again not available. While I was walking to the restroom, I saw two men at a table eating the beef bourguigon, and I know it was not coq au vin because I could see the inside of the protien and chicken would have looked like chicken. I retuned to our table and told the wait staff what I saw and I just wanted my check to leave. Our waitress pulls my wife aside and starts arguing with her and then crying. I don't know what is going on at this restaurant anymore but gatekeeping your signature dish is not a good look and a slap in the face to a long term customer. For the record, I tried reaching out to the restaurant before writing this review but they did not bother to respond to my email.

I came with a group of coworkers during lunch. It was not very busy, but our total time from sitting down to having food arrive was over an hour. Disappointed to say the least. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and the sever tried her best.

Vegetarian options: Very limited options for vegetarians and zero options for vegans.
