The Friesian Gastro Pub

Our party of 8 had friendly and attentive service. The cocktails and mocktails were very good. The kids liked their fancy mocktails. We came here because we were told the fried ribs were delicious and they were correct, they were delicious. The frites were also good, I got the truffle frites. The carrot cake was pretty good also. They have roof top seating so that's where we sat.

Great food and drinks. And shaded deck is a huge win. No one wants to sit in the sun in the summer time. Other restaurants take note.

Our appetizers were good. Fondue fries was lacking salt. Pork belly bites were very good. Good balance of salt, sweet, and sour. I also had kalbi fried rice. The portions were smaller for the entrees. Kim chi fried rice was spicy and kalbi was well seasoned. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Our server was Mattie who was excellent but seemed overwhelmed with serving tables and working the bar. We felt bad for her as other workers didn’t look as busy at all. We will return as we want to try other dishes.

Overall, we enjoyed it and we’ll go back. The food was delicious and our server was great. As many reviews mention, portions are pretty small for what you pay. There’s also some mismanagement of people. Our server was also tending bar (even though we were seated at a table), so she was struggling to keep up. She did a great job for being in the weeds. Unfortunately there were two other employees just kind of hanging out while she worked hard.

I went here like a year ago and I’m still thinking about how good the food was. Vegan nachos and mac and cheese… Great drinks too

We enjoyed our evening on the roof. All of the food was tasty and the drinks were on point. We will be visiting again soon.

One of my favorite restaurants. I love that they change up the menu regularly. And as a celiac, they are somewhere I feel super safe eating (and can actually have fries since they have dedicated fryers!). Their GF carrot cake is amazing and it's rare I order a dish that I don't love. Also very much love the rooftop dining in the summer.

Had a great experience, the food hit the spot with a a good beer and drink menu. Went in the winter so we were not about to use the outside seating but the options looks cool.

Really enjoyed dinner here. Matti was a great bartender--just the right amount of attention while letting you chill. The Wonton Soup was good and filling. The kale chips were good and spicy 🔥. Solid selection at the bar. Really nice chic atmosphere.
