Thanks again to Rick. I love supporting small businesses and especially black owned. The food was so good I ate in the lobby! My deep fried tacos and fries was made fresh and wait time was short

Door Dashed for the first time and sooo glad I chose this place. I ordered a burger and six wings and it did not disappoint. Hitting them back for more today.

Don't believe tripadvisor, this place isn't even close to # 1 anymore. The service was bad, the food was mediocre and greasy.
As we pulled up, I was thinking this was going to be a tiny little empty hole in the wall. Boy was I wrong! The place was jumping on a Friday morning at 9 am! We were lucky and got the last table available. And what a fab experience all around: great service, great food, great coffee and great vibe! Absolutely loved it.
Super enjoyable!

Best hospitality and cuisine, good ppl good vibes. Definitely a lyfe to visit in Grand Rapids
Great breakfast, especially the omelets. It was busy, but they managed to keep the flow of people going so the wait wasn’t too long. Very clean restaurant and friendly service.
OMG! Amazing food I just left. And the cook is SO! Handsome ? ?? My new food spot. He can have all my money? The kool aid??

It has gone down in menu options since the original owner sold to a corporation. Not many lunch options any longer. The wait staff is still top notch.
Great restaurant, excellent service, friendly atmosphere. Great food and reasonable prices. Specials everyday.
Solid and good food. The wait was long, but it was quicker if you take out and eat outside. Large menu for breakfast and lunch. If you want to avoid credit card fees, make sure to have cash.
Busy diner on a Sunday morning. Classic dinner style with counter service and ample dining area. Some street parking with additional parking in rear. Owner provided coffee while sitting in waiting area. Typical eggs, scrambles, pancakes, omelets, and skillets. Most selections between $10-$13. Ordered the Northland Scramble and it was very good.
I’m here all the way for supporting my black people. However, I have to say for my first time trying this place the service as well as the food was a huge no for me. I’ll never eat here again. I’ll start with the customer service; when I got here the cook was outside, sitting down on the phone and when I walked in there was no greeting, or acknowledgment.. once I started to look at the menu and was asking about pricing with every answer there was an irritable response followed by a hand bang on the table. The energy definitely gave he hates his job, or/and didn’t want to be there. Once I got my food which was a cheeseburger with fries and a drink & chicken wing zings, it was made fresh to order; that is good. But the wings were salty, & the overpriced fruit punch “Kool-aid” I was served was DEFINITELY not kool aid. It was fountain juice; just can’t put an exact name on it. Only thing good was the cheeseburger but overall with the price I paid for the food was low quality and overpriced.
