They changed the name from Sparrows to Scorpion Heart, I'm not sure why. Anyhow, this is a nice little coffee shop with a hipster vibe. The vibe is cozy to do some work, read, or study. The music is chill and set at a good volume. In addition to being a coffee shop, they also sell trinkets like cards, mugs, candles, accessories, and vinyl records. They have various specialty lattes. I love the beautiful latte art. Friendly service. I can see why it's a favorite in the area.

Sparrows has a special place in my heart because it is where my first date was with my now fiancé 5 years ago! Delicious coffee, comfortable coffee shop vibes, can't go wrong with a visit to Sparrows (Lady Lazarus is the best lavender latte I've had!)

Warm and cozy coffee spot on the east side. Love sitting in the window front or communal table and getting work done here.Updating since visiting under the new name: same great service, community, and flavors. Scorpion Hearts Club is a welcoming space for great coffee in town.

Really cute coffee shop. They take pride in making good drinks, while not being pretentious. Casual setting that's welcoming. Very clearly LGBTQ+ friendly.Service isn't always super fast, but good drinks take time. I wouldn't stop if I needed something super fast, but set aside 5-10 minutes and it's worth it. I frequent in the early-mid afternoon and there's always a table.Dietary restrictions: They have a great selection of milk alternatives. They even have Coconut Sweet Condensed milk. Some flavors do have milk but you can ask and they seem fairly good at knowing what's vegan.Parking: I rarely have issues finding street parking near by.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no handicap doors. There is a side door (left side of the building) that doesn't have a step, but it's tricky to open without help.

Best coffee in Grand Rapids! I'm a big fan of the Major Major and their seasonal drinks are always fun. Love the online ordering option for a quick grab and go before work.

Did not feel welcomed. Rude service. Vulgar language on many signs in the coffee shop. Won’t be coming back soon.

I love the atmosphere of Scorpion Hearts. Full of art, music, and good company. The baristas are so nice and I have made good friends here.On to the coffee: After the rebrand from Sparrows, I'm not sure if they changed their espresso beans, extraction process, or both. The past three times I've gone in for my usual (a quad shot lavender iced latte with oat milk) the coffee has tasted over extracted, bitter, or burnt. I haven't been able to finish the drink. It's really disappointing because I used to love this spot and its coffee.

Worst cup of expensive matcha (their drink called Long View) I've ever had. Sub par experience from another coffee shop selling overpriced art. Anyone want to place bets on when it will close?
