This past Saturday at 8 pm., my date and I experienced very poor service. The restaurant was busy, as expected; however, we waited for a 1/2 hour before receiving our drinks. When we asked for our server, she didn’t seem to recognize us as her table. I had to prompt her to take our food order and the whole interaction was awkward. My fig/gin drink was heavily sweetened with simple syrup. (My date only had a beer) I honestly couldn’t even tell if I received the correct drink so I walked up to the bar to make sure I received the correct order. The bar back couldn’t tell, but agreed that it looked off. He was kind and said he’d ask the bartender to remake it for me. (I appreciated the effort from the bar back) Very soon after, someone, who didn’t even speak to us, laid the drink down in front of me a bit hard on the table. It happened so quickly that by the time I turned around to see who delivered the drink, she was gone. The drink was a bit better, but still not good. At that point, my date was even more upset and disturbed by the lack of service. Our server was no where to be found. We have been customers for 8+ years, but our more recent experiences have been poor. After menu changes, costs increasing, multiple staff changes and the ever changing standards of service, we are no longer visiting our once favored restaurant.

Again disappointed in my visit. Wasn't overly busy and was a long wait for my food at lunchtime. And while my server was nice and friendly the female manager gave off a bad vibe. Like she was to good for her job.
The food is good but the kitchen is a little slow even when it is not super busy.

Loved everything about the place! The brussel sprouts are absolutely amazing!

Place was nice. The crab and mozzarella was Fantastic, the chicken curry was not white meat, as previously stated but good. My food came out late when my party was done with their food. It was the fish and chips. Fish was very soft buttery and great taste. It was two large pieces which I thought would be best if it was smaller pieces ( break up the two to four). Waiter was good other than being wrong on the chicken. :)

Good food, a surprisingly versatile menu, good atmosphere and outdoor seating.
Prices are a little high but quality is on point.
I am talking only about food, I am not much of a drinker so I cannot speak to that.

Thank you first of all to the Winchester for participating in the GR Vegan Chef Challenge! It's a great initiative and it was awesome seeing the turnout.
The Winchester's submission, a corned beet Reuben, was fantastic and creative. The flavor, presentation, and quality were all fantastic. I'd definitely love to see it be a permanent addition to the menu! 😊

Winchester needs more servers like Matt-he’s the best of the best. Had the special yesterday (short ribs) and it’s a game changer. Love all of their food and drinks and last night was an outlier with service-usually nothing to write home about but it was yesterday!
