I cannot stay away from Winnie! I had brunch last time so I of course had to follow up with their dinner menu. The food was delicious! I got the butter chicken and it was the perfect portion size for me and the chicken was so tasty! The only thing that could've been better was having garlic naan bread instead of the regular one, but that's because I'm obsessed with garlic naan. My friends got shareables of kimchi nachos, crab cheese dip and shrimp bbq. All amazing and I will definitely be back again!

My family and I had easily one of the strangest, most off putting experiences while trying to grab a table for 4. We were told there would be a wait for us, as they had a table of 30 coming in and we all completely understood, as we all either currently work in the service industry, or have in the past. The wait was not the problem at all. The person (manager?? host??) that was greeting people as they entered the restaurant was BEYOND rude and condescending. We had no problem waiting, and we figured there would be no problem in popping up the bar rail to grab a drink as we wait. For some odd reason, the women at the door took issue with us doing this, and reached a conclusion that we were trying to circumvent the wait we were put on by sitting down at the bar rail. She believed this to the extent that she stopped the bartender from serving us, told them to get us waters “if they wanted to”, and that we were “told to wait so we were going to wait.” Working in a restaurant for a handful of years, it came across to myself and my family as incredibly rude, unprofessional, and just generally annoying. After the debacle, we walked across the street to Donkey, and it was fantastic!!!

Lamb souvlaki was non-edible. Chewy, fatty cubes of lamb, 1 skewer (2 half’s) at $16 for lunch. Too chewy to cut the fat off. Served w/ 1/2 pita bread, “cooked” (?) grape tomatoes and “sweet“ hummus. Waitress never refilled the water unless asked, it was empty. She asked if we want to take the leftovers. No thank you.

The Winchester DELIVERED. The service, food and outside seating exceeded expectations. It was so nice to sit outside in a heated area on a rainy spring evening. The host and our waitress were super sweet. The drinks were refreshing and the food was extremely flavorful and cooked well. & the food came out in a timely manner.

Best burger in Grand Rapids, or at least the top 5 for me. It's a great local bar and the service is always top-notch. Brussel sprouts are also quite tasty.
Cold cheese curds on the pork chile poutine.... Interesting ..... food is trying but just doesn't click.

Every time I go here, the food is amazing. I've had burgers, the chicken sandwich, the butternut hash (which I think is a favorite of mine now--I think it's a brunch item, but it would honestly be a great staple item on the menu), and other dishes I can't remember.The ambiance is beautiful and welcoming, and the servers I've had have always been great. Love it. Definitely a favorite.Vegetarian options: Butternut hash is amazing!!
