Vitale's Pizza Grand Rapids

Best subs Ever! They make them just like they use to! My Dad and I love their subs and he's slightly addicted to their chips!

I went through the reviews and my pizza DID NOT look like any of those pizzas. I brought it all the way home and it was clearly burnt. Told to bring it back, they apologized, and gave me a less burnt pizza. I accepted it because I didn't want to waste anymore time because my family was waiting. Gave it 3 stars due to th taste of the pieces that weren't overcooked.

Service is the one thing I demand when eating out. Decent food is easy to find but service....not so much. Tonight was no different.

Sat for 7 minutes with no server. The bar tender was an angel and saw our lack of service, and gave us drinks. Then she took our order. As I finished my glass of wine and went back to the bar tender for another drink, our server finally showed up.

We have always loved the food and service here. But after tonight, I may have to just get my fat ass in the kitchen and cook myself.

I did feel bad for leaving less than 20%, but I just couldn't justify anymore. I did leave the part I took from the server to the bar tender.

I loved the sauce on the pizza...somehow it's just a little sweet, but it was not a very crisp crust. The pasta was amazing though. The vodka sauce tasted great and garlic bread was the best! The drinks are really good as well. We went with a big group for a birthday celebration, they definitely had the room for all of us. They were busy the whole time. We had little ones with us, they had seating for the little ones if needed. Lots of tvs for viewing sports that may be on, or if you just want to go watch the game and have some beers.

This is about the take out service. Their pizzas are always delicious. We ordered a big one, with a lot of toppings, and it was supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. When we went to pick it up, right on time, we had to wait another 15 minutes! 2 other customers arrived and received their orders without any delay, while we were waiting for ours.
They had our contact info. If the order was going to take additional time, good customer service would have been to call us and let us know about that, so we could plan around it.

I used to love the Italian sausage sub. The sausage is not good anymore and it was not appetizing. First bite I also bit into a small piece of bone. Very disappointing because I've been eating there since I was a kid. Other things are definitely good on the menu though. Pizza always good.
