Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Went in to order a smoothie, three employees were working and not a single one said hello, how are you, we'll be right with you, sorry for the wait we're working on online orders, nothing no words exchanged. I waited 10 or more minutes and still no one even looked at me or the other customers also waiting to order. I ended up just leaving because it wasn't worth it to keep waiting with not even an acknowledgment.

Edit: I've tried coming here for a breakfast smoothie a few times around 9:20-9:30 and they haven't been open despite what their hours are listed on Google.

During my very first visit to this location the young man who took my order was quite unwelcoming. He was equally unfriendly. The atmosphere at this location was also quite unsettling to me. In contrast, the gentleman who provided me with my drink was in fact very courteous and professional. The best part of my experience was the drink that I ordered. It was skillfully prepared and tasted amazing.

Ordered delivery. Smoothie and american wrap. Added a side of pineapple salsa. Recieved a wrap with 60% pineapple inside, i ordered pineapple salsa not this. My question is where's the eggs? All cheese and pineapple, that i didnt want. Smoothies here are worse than 28th. All you taste is ice. No flavor.

Came tonight 8/25 at 8:12pm. So many ice chunks in my smoothie. I hadn’t been here in so long because of the prices but thought I’d treat myself after I PRd on my workout. The workers walked by me so many times I just ended up ordering in the app. Then I waited forever only to find out the person put my smoothie in the Pick Up case without even calling my name or the smoothie name. Later, when she asked if I placed an order I told her it was online. I sat there longer to realize they had no more orders and she never announced my order was ready. While I was waiting, a man and his young daughter waited and waited for someone to take their order. It was really sad to watch because all I wanted to do was take this man’s order. He and his very young daughter were so patient. This place used to be the place to be. Seems from other reviews it’s gone downhill. So sad.

There food is ok. It is REALLY hit or miss on what you choose if it is good or meh.

Smoothies are great. I like everyone I have tried so far.

Service at this location is meh, It seemed like I interrupted them and they just wanted me to leave.

I hate to be a karen but this has irked me so badly- They have made my chicken bacon ranch wrong almost 10 times now. One time they made it wrong 3 times in a row and I had to keep correcting them. I genuinely don’t understand why it’s so hard to take tomatoes off of a sandwhich. it’s incredibly frustrating and i’m no longer going to go here because of it.

Love tropical smoothie. The one on Rivertown and canal is hit or miss on service depending on which Grandville teen is working.

Great service and delicious smoothies!

as a former worker i’m quite disappointed with the service. I’ve sat in the cafe for less than half an hour after finishing my food, meanwhile still drinking my smoothie and was asked to leave per the district manager’s request. I was not disturbing anyone nor distracting employees from their job. I simply was drinking my smoothie and scrolling on my phone.

I walked in and could see 5 employees working. I figured they were busy so I just waited at the cash register to have my order taken. After 5 minutes of waiting however I left. Nobody had the courtesy to acknowledge me, or tell me they will be with me shortly. It was not until I left and another group of customer walked in that someone came to take orders. Abysmal customer service. I’d love to say the food was at least adequate however I left empty handed. Which was a shame as I really wanted a smoothie.
