Linda’s Portage Lake Parlor

It’s not that I don’t recommended it.. it’s that the quality is not consistent at all especially for the price. First time, briskest and wrap was AMAZING. We couldn’t wait to go back to the lake to come have dinner there again. Went yesterday. Wrap was eh. Brisket was overcooked and so fatty even though we asked for the lean the cut and the onions in the onion rings were black. We spent alot of money there for dinner to be disappointed and take back the recommendations we made to our friends about this restaurant. Super cute place though!

French fries are soggy and cold, unsalted. Brisket was meh, ordered smoke salmon dip that was good but the chips were over fried and dark. The Chardonnay we ordered was warm and the glass had swirls in it as if it was dirty. Tried to order a dirty martini, it tasted rotten as if the olives were bad. Ordered a gin and tonic and the lime was rotten, hubby ordered a amaretto sour and got a green drink and it had zero amaretto. Lemon seeds all in the drink to boot. This place could be great if they actually trained the staff on the food and drinks they serve. Waitress was really nice but she should not have taken the food or drinks out like that. It’s a shame this place has a huge patio. It should be busy as heck not empty.

Great food and excellent service! Would definitely stop in again when in the area.

We went tonight and for 33.00 we split a meat platter, everything was tender and cook to perfection. I also ordered a side of cornbread which was mouth watering. We will definitely go back.

Nice local spot. Fully stocked bar. Brisket Nachos was huge and tasty. Good as a shareable dish. Barbecue is available Thursdays until they run out around Saturday.

Everything we’ve had from here is great, the waitresses and waiters were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Nothing like supporting small businesses in small towns 🥘 🍖 🍔 🍷 🥃 🍺 ♥️🙌

Kathy has been very attentive to the quality of food. I get the PLP burger almost everytime but the pork nachos are my new favorite.

I've been to this place a few times. They have smoked meats and upscale bar food. Drinks are good. Pictured is the beef brisket, cheesy potatoes and greens. Overall, the meal was good. The brisket was slightly dried out but still tasted good. Definitely recommend.

Saturday night (10/26/24) waited to place an order at the bar for 15 mins with only 4 people in the whole bar. 2 waitresses standing around talking while I wait. Won't ever go back there again. McDonald's it is I suppose.
