Not the best ive had from a classic american diner. I ordered the cabbage soup to start and it actually wasnt that bad at all, it was flavorful. I then ordered the ohio burger and onion rings. They only gave me 7....exactly seven small and fried to a rock onion rings. The burger was cold and plain. The burger buns tasted stale. I never got a refill for my soft drink. Sadly, the restaurant in Kalkaska MI is greatly in need of updating. It must be very difficult to make it look presentable what with the chipped tile, tired decor and dirty looking bathroom floors. The food is good and the wait staff pleasant and friendly. ( Sometimes I think the salad bar could be a little more creative, however.) The Big Boy at West Branch is far nicer.

Walked in, took forever to be seated by the hostess. Finally get seated in a booth that was like sitting on concrete. Waitress was non existant so we got up and left rather than being trapped there for 2 hrs waiting on the slow service. Avoid
