WOW!! Absolutely delicious. You want REAL sushi you have to come here. We found this place and we were in shock that we didn’t find earlier. Idk what else I could say besides that we have been to all sushi places around here & NOTHING compares. The owner was amazing and the food was amazing. They are opening another restaurant she told us.We ordered Aries, Fancy volcano, Spider roll,Orange chicken & fried rice, California roll, Tigers roll, Holy crab. Our favorite was Aries and Orange chicken & fried rice. But honestly they really all were so good. They also stayed open past closing time until we finished eating and we had no idea. Kind service and most of all the Sushi was like art work so soft and delicious & crunchy too. Thank you for a wonderful dinner (:Parking: Parking back and frontKid-friendliness: My kids loved it!

We ordered carry out and they told us 45 minutes. It took 90 minutes and 1 lady was serving tables and taking care of carry out orders. The food was good but was very disappointed with the wait time. If it's gonna take 90 minutes, don't tell me 45 so that I spend 45 minutes waiting at your restaurant. I really don't think I'll go back.

The sushi is so delicious. Fried rice is too. It’s the best around. They don’t use a ton of sauce on each roll like all the other places
Very nice staff most have been there awhile. Good presentation and quality. Lots of food options and everything so far has been very good. Ordered a tray for Christmas Eve and food was very good which is not easy on sushi to go.

I love this place. First, I have to recommend the crab Rangoon it's the best I've ever had! I work next door and often run over to get a quick meal when we aren't busy. Eva always remembers my order and they are super quick so I can get back to work. It's super fresh and they give nice sized portions.

I fell and hurt my knee right outside ? their restaurant and went in to wash my wound .Bathroom was out of order they didn't ask if I was alright and refused to wait on my disabled veteran husband and meZero stars I give it!

We love the food so much!!!!! What a surprising gem on Grosse Ile. The vegetarian rolls are really really good and so are all the other hot entrees we’ve tried. Definitely worth your while.

We are carry-out regulars! My husband has Celiac disease, so finding a sushi restaurant that actually accommodates a gluten-free sushi roll and soy sauce is beyond rare... but SO appreciated.I've had sushi all over the country, including Oceanside locations. Generally, my rule is that Midwest sushi will just never be as good as fresh caught in places like California and Hawaii. However, Ume is FRESH and delicious. If you want a treat, arrive 10 minutes before your carry out time to watch them hand roll your sushi. It's quite the experience!10/10 every time.

I've ordered a side of udon (side noodle) every time Ive come for about a year now. It's never been an issue.. today though some lady started berating me on the phone because of it?Like I don't know what to say. I order my food like this almost every week?

We heard great things about Ume while staying on Grosse Ile and decided we needed to give it a try. We were not disappointed! We arrived and were told that we couldn't order sushi because they were so busy it would be at least an hour. Then she said we could order sushi if we were order food from the kitchen but it would still be a wait. We figured it was worth the wait so we went for it. We each enjoyed a delicious beer, shared Miso Soup and Cucumber Salad (they were great!). We also tried the Age Gyoza which were delicious pork fried dumplings. For dinner I had the Szechuan Chicken with fried rice. It was like any other I have ever eaten, flavorful and sweet but very good. My husband ordered the Seafood Udon and it was also really good. My husband ordered some sort of combo sushi plate and it was beautiful! He also said it was very good. I highly recommend you go here if you like sushi and hibachi.
