We ordered carry out, 4 meals. Only 2 of 4 of us enjoyed our meal. My pasta was dry and I didn't finish it, the soup was weird and not the typical style soup. Expensive for quasi ok food.

In the past, I loved this place. It has really out priced itself now. Don't believe the prices online. They charge almost $30 for lasagna! The lasagna is nothing special. I won't be coming back.

Hard to find much to fault them with, but hard to find anything spectacular. This is a date night restaurant with that Grosse pointe ambiance that have you forgive solid but very traditional food. I wouldn’t travel far for it, but then again if I wanted a safe place Niniis it.

Tables are too close together so noise level high. Gift certificate misleading. Food mediocre; not worth price. Server blah.

Small place inside. 9 tables and about 8 bar stools in here, it's quite cozy and cramped in here. Started off with escargot, sautéed mushrooms, lasagna alla Bolognese, chicken Marsala, eggplant Parmesan and sautéed lake Perch. $154+ Service was okay. The bread was good. The escargot comes with sautéed mushrooms. It was good, sauce that came with it was good for dipping the bread in as well. Even my step-dad tried for three escargot for the first time and liked it. Minestrone and the side salads were okay. The side of blue cheese is $1.50 extra, no wonder mom didn't get it on her salad. The shared sautéed mushroom was good. The perch was lighted breaded, wasn't expecting that, since it was sautéed. It was okay. The lasagne was good, different, but smaller and a lot of sauce. The chicken Marsala was good for my step-dad. I tried some, it wasn't too bad. My mother's eggplant was good, nice and light breading. Small eggplant cuts.

What happened?! Cafe Nini used to be fantastic, now it’s trash! 15 Minutes waiting for drinks, while sitting next to a space heater, and another 20 minutes for the mussels to come. The butter for the bread was bland and the red sauce for the mussels tasted like water. The waiter came and went, coming back another 20 minutes after that. We quickly paid, left and walked over to Luxe. Never again will I waste my time with that trash. Bye, Cafe Nini. Please leave Grosse Pointe and never come back.

Gotta like Nini. Fun atmosphere. Good food and drinks. Definitely coming back. Great appetizers as well

Good and service can be inconsistent, but when it’s good, it’s really good. Tight space but good vibe. Nice corner GP spot.Kid-friendliness: I would say cafe Nini is not kid friendly, it’s an adult atmosphere and I like that! We took the grand kids once, they were good but it’s really not the place for kids.

The food and wine were excellent. We ordered the fried Zucchini, some pasta and the grilled branzino. We think they forgot our order since we had to remind them after almost an hour that we hadn’t received our appetizers. They recovered very well after that - rushing our order and comping our entire meal! Quite a class act! If you don’t get it right the first time, it’s all in the recovery after all!!

Great neighborhood Italian eatery with wonderful ambience. Traditional Italian menu items with a few standard dinner selections. The only downside is the tight space. Good service.

Small and quant Italian Cafe. Reservations are definitely recommended. Goff was very good. Service was great, right up until it was time to pay the bill. Then we had to wait forever.

The bread is fresh off the oven. Caprese salad was fresh and tasty! Most items are cooked with white wine. Our entrees were yummy! Definitely coming back. Quiet ambience outside and more loud but cozy inside. Service was professional
