Hungry Howie's Pizza

Waited two hours for a single pizza delivery and just canceled the order. This is NOT the first time I’ve had to do this at this location. I will take my business elsewhere or eat at home LOL.

The worst part about it is when you get off work and wait two hours while starving, for a pizza that never arrives.

I phoned to make an order for a pizza and one of the toppings I asked for was green pepper. They said they “don’t stock green peppers no more”. I ordered it without them. when I got there to pick it up, the person at the register was wearing over-ear headphones while helping customers. As a cashier, that is okay now? Asked my name, turned around, got my pizza and mumbled the price, which was about ten dollars. I gave him a twenty dollar bill, and I thought I was being super generous by telling him to keep the change…he said nothing, then turned and slowly walked away. Food was good enough, place was dirty and service was really bad.

I wish I could give zero stars. I’ve lived in Grosse Pointe all my life, always counted on this place. Most recently, the delivery took close to 2 hours!!! The time before was an hour and a half and the time before was an hour and 20 mins. It’s a disgrace. Pizza is cold when it comes. Will never ever order from here again, should be put out of business

They didn’t prepare my order as requested. I walked in and not a word was spoken, not a hi, nothing. Just rude, judgemental looks, hands me the food and walked away. I even tipped when they got the order wrong, AND were exceptionally unpleasant. Probably won’t return here. You’re more concerned about what coupons you don’t take and less concerned about customer service and accuracy.

Bread had hardly any seasonings on it. Crusts were empty and devoid of the requested crust.

I’ve never left a store actually wanting to leave a bad review from such an awful experience. I apologize if my ordering is inconvenient to you- so I won’t make that mistake again.

The food be good but when I tried to order on DoorDash last they canceled my order and when I called they told me they don't even see my order but when my boyfriend called they told him they see it but don’t know why it was cancelled. Imma just order from a different location

The employees are stealing, I order thru them. Waited 2 hours. For them to tell me they gave my order to a door dasher and I never paid thru door dash. I asked for a refund and the refused to give me a refund. Don’t ever go here.

I just became an unloyal customer of this Hungry Howies location. I've been supporting this location for over 8 years and purchase from here weekly. I ordered a pizza with the new automated system, arrived to pick up my pizza, after working 12 hours, and starving, as there was no order for me and my family. First, we have to deal with computers not comprehending when paying bills and conducting business. Now, I have to speak to a computer when I want to eat and expecting my food.
I gave them my name and telephone number they had absolutely nothing. I'm exhausted, the guy offered to make my pizza, I said yes. In the meantime, I asked for corporate number to advise of my experience with the system. "There is no number."I go ok, it's privately owned. I request for a number. The guy tells me he can't give me a number. So, this place is servicing customers and there is no one that we can talk to that can assist us or make an executive decisions or handle our concerns as customers. I canceled my order and will never return there ever in life. The is my second bad experience. The first time the computer had my name incorrect and the cashier figured it out. It very unprofessional as a business not to have someone customers can to talk or an email to advise about their business. This is not an in house staff issue. Customer service sucks these days. Im very disappointed. However, stop having humans talk to computers all the time. This is exactly why interpersonal skills are ridiculous these days.

Called to place an order since I wanted to pay cash and was told I couldn’t pay cash for my “large order” of 2 pizzas, 1 bread, and 1 order of wings. Will take my money elsewhere to a local business since you apparently can’t pay cash here!

I must admit that some of these stores make us wait a long time. They are very slow to deliver the pizza but I must also say that the pizzas in this place are very delicious.

I'm going to leave this review and be done with this place I have given this place multiple chances however for some reason I always feel like I've wasted my money. I always spend good money here and tip. Tonight because I'm exhausted and didn't feel like cooking or going anywhere else I ordered two medium pizza added extra toppings including extra cheese 1.69 for each additional topping my order was 30.77 the one pizza was ok but the second pizza looked picked over and it sure doesn't have extra cheese on it total waste so yeah I'm good.. I will not be spending any more money here period. I'm so over restaurants charging high prices and not serving quality food stuff is way too expensive and tight . I could've made a frozen pizza at thus point for real and this is not the first second or third time I've experienced this.. However it will be the last.
