Wan Kow Chop Suey

I don’t know how Wan Kow has so many negative reviews, their Chinese is honestly the best we’ve ever had, hands down! We usually get the pepper steak, almond boneless chicken and sesame chicken. Seriously, the meat is quality (not rubbery, chicken is all white meat with thin breading) vegetables are always thick and fresh, and the portions are HUGE! We come here probably once a month and it never disappoints!!

I'm not sure what has happened, but the food quality has really declined. This used to be my go-to place for pepper steak, chicken dishes, and wonton soup. However, the food I received tonight was terrible. The wonton soup was cold, and the dumplings in it were undercooked, tasting like raw pasta. Additionally, the pint of gravy I ordered was also cold, had a strange taste, and was clumpy. I don't know if the ownership has changed, but something is definitely different!

I had the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was hard. My husband and I also had shrimp egg foo young the out part of shrimp was fried too hard. The egg roll was the only thing that was good. Sorry we will never return their again ☹️😖

Very good food!

over a 45 minute wait after I got there and they messed up my order.

Customer service was nice the lady working the front is nice. Got my order in a nicely time matter but it was cold the chicken and rice was hard like it was sitting all day and the sesame chicken sauce was like a gel coating and very sweet. Mind you I had to take it back the first time because it wasn’t correct. Heard good things but idk if I’m going to try again.

Long-standing Chinese takeout in Grosse Pointe. Food is a little pricey but very delicious! We are big fans of the Almond Boneless Chicken and Orange Chicken with fried rice and crab rangoons.

Definitely a good contender! I recommend beef lo mein and the Wan Kow Special! Egg rolls are always a great call! Personally didn’t enjoy their take on the egg drop soup and sesame chicken but they have a lot of great options still!
