i guess you could say mediocre but overall it is underwhelming. sushi sucks, the rice isn’t the texture and consistency it should be. fish isn’t best quality. ginger dressing is way too sweet and creamy we didn’t even finish it or even bother to send it back. that’s the best it’ll get for hamtrmack sushi. service was ok. if ur desperate go here, but honestly don’t waste ur money. tried this place twice before leaving a review cuz i wanted to like it!

I came here with my sister after she had a hard day to cheer her up. The hostess approached us once we sat down and told us we had to order at the counter and pay first for dine in service we agreed and once we paid we sat down. Another customer who is white finished eating and she brung him a check and he was able to pay that way. She charged me 10% automatically on my card for dinning in as well as my sister. I ordered to go for my husband and was charged 10% on that order. When I paid cash for my daughter dessert she gave me a snarl and said You aren’t going to tip me. After she was playing on her phone she took my daughter mochi out the container in the freezer with her bare hands. I asked her to wear gloves or wash her hands and she and rolled her eyes and continued to bag my food. I will be calling the Health Department as well.

I'm still raving about my incredible experience with this place! The food was phenomenal, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Even though I opted for takeout, I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the establishment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend this gem to anyone. In fact, I'm making it a point to come back here every time I can - it's definitely earned a spot on my list of favorites!
Only giving it two because of the early experiences. When tonight to grab a quick bite. Arrived around 730pm, two other tables in the restaurant. Followed the sign that said seat yourself and sat at the counter. After waiting for 12 minutes to be approached, flagged down the server who asked are you ready to order? We said yes and he asked dine in or carry out? We said dine in and he asked us to move because the counter was reserved? WTH? Eventually he said you sat there first so it’s fine. We ordered three rolls and he says you know it’s going to be 25-30 minutes, I don’t know if you want to wait. The entire experience was just weird and we said we’re leaving. He didn’t care. It was so weird, so unproessfional. Also, idk what happen it used to be cute and clean and now it’s just rundown and dingey. Picked up wasabi on the way home and was great as always.
