Went in for a Date Night to bake some Macarons, Place never disappoints. Best place to get macarons and to bake macarons in Detroit metro.
This shop serves up, with daily consistency, what I consider the gold standard of the macaron cookie. I have become obsessed with the French dessert and search it out in bakeries everywhere I go. One of the hallmarks I’ve found of a great macaron is that it has its delicious flavor across a wide temperature range, from refrigerated temperatures to room temp. Average macarons taste suitable only after thawing to room temperature. This tells me that Le Detroit Macaron is probably grinding their almond flour as finely as possible and measuring their ingredients by weight instead of volume to ensure the magic ingredient of the macaron - the almond flour - is ever present in every morsel at every temperature. The more granular the almond flour the less available it becomes to the taste buds at lower temperatures. Anyways, I’m clearly a nerd for these desserts and Le Detroit Macaron knocks it out of the park every time!!

Amazing macarons! I have been to several places for macarons because I'm obsessed with them. I heard about this place from a friend so made a special trip yesterday just to this bakery. There were several other options too so something for everyone's taste. Nice crumbly cookie with tasty fillings ?Each is $2.75 so this was a splurge for me to try so many, since I don't live close by. Great service and very patient since I took awhile to decide. I recommend!
