These are the best pasties! My husband had the beef and I had the vegetable pasty. It's hard to find a veggie pasty that doesn't include cheese, broccoli, spinach etc. This was just what I wanted a traditional Cornish pasty with potatoes, carrots, rutabaga and salt and pepper. Both were excellently seasoned. It's worth a trip to Hancock for Amy J's alone. We also give high marks for the cookies.

The pasties was mushy potatoe pie. Hamburger was equivalent to a whopping tablespoon of burger.Crust was hard rather than flaky.

Wonderful homemade pastys! Super helpful nice service! They sell them hot to eat and cold to take for later! We ate them hot in the spot and took some for later! I would lunch here every day if I could! One of my faves! Also, fab choc chip cookies 🍪

I stopped in just as they opened on a Monday and ordered a large pasty with meat. I also got a bran muffin and peanut butter cookie. The pasty was outstanding! The best combination/proportion of beef and vegetables I’ve ever had in a pasty. The crust was a great compliment. My vote for #1 in the UP!!! The muffin and cookie were also very good. I’ll definitely make the effort to stop whenever I’m in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about Amy J’s. Hands down the best most authentic and delicious pasty you can have in the UP. I’m sorry because there are a lot of good ones but NOTHING beats Amy J’s. 5/5 you have to try! Obviously eat it the correct way with ketchup. And I like to add some butter. If you’re from out of town you have to stop in. I order extras when I leave town too to share with friends out of state. THE BEST PASTY in the UP.

Absolutely delicious!! This small shop has an amazing beef pasty! Their cookies are delicious as well!
Pasty was served warm and delicious. We got drinks and ate at the cafe table inside. Other patrons were getting take out. There were cookies and cinnamon rolls available too. Staff was very friendly. We were happy to find this place on the way back from Quincy Mine.
