I got lucky and I came to Four Suns Fish and Chips on the last day of the year that they were open.
They are seasonal so if you come in winter, they will not be open. This is probably the best fish I've had in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Their crust and bread in and seasoning is amazing. You get a really big portion almost more than you can eat. The place doesn't look like much from the outside so don't expect anything fancy. What you can't expect is the best whitefish you've ever had in your life. I highly recommend stopping at Peterson's and getting the fish basket. Across from them as an old abandoned mine there's a lot of stuff in the area to check out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Must Stop⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our family stopped in to Four Suns Fish and Chips during our visit to the peninsula and will def be a regular stop during our annual UP trips.
What we loved about Four Suns is the dedication to freshly prepared food. Each order was prepared fresh and with care.
We enjoyed a whitefish and perch basket. Our food was crispy, fresh and hot!
Four Suns has a robust menu for adult palates and great offerings for the kiddos. There is a moderate amount of indoor seating and a larger outside picnic styled area.
Prices are just right too! Make sure you swing by Four Suns on your visit to the area!

Good Lord. The food was terrible. The fries and fish tasted the same: overcooked and in old cooking oil. Ordered the whitefish, paid, then while waiting was told out of whitefish. Really? Had to go with the cod. The cod was like a giant gordon’s fish stick but tasted worse. Two preformed and overcooked pieces came out. Worst fish and chips of my life. Most expensive fish and chips of my life. This place is a joke.

Getting fresh caught fish was the draw but not that much flavor. Tartar sauce not like most places serve, didn't care for it. The place is old but you can sit at picnic tables outside. A lot of funny signs to read while waiting for your order.

Don't let the look of this place fool you! It kind of looks like a fun down shack from the outside BUT the food was great!!! You order at the window and take your food with you either to go, minimal seating inside, or weather permitting outside seating.

The food was extremely delicious with a good selection of different seafood meals to choose from. The atmosphere is very pleasant and matching its season fish shop function.

Skip this overpriced and underwhelming experience. I prefer battered fish but I tried both the Parmesan and the regular, both were seasoned on one side only and not what I was expecting.

We got two Whitefish dinners; one Parmesan crusted & one chili. Both were just ok, the chili sauce overpowered the delicate whitefish. We felt that best part of the meal was the fries.

Not fancy just great freaking fish. I did the Singapore Chili Whitefish. After eating all over the world I easily place this in my top five. Every other in that five was fancy schmansy. This was just good food. A solid 10 out of 10 on the fish. Perfectly prepared and that spicy Singapore Chili? Wow!

Great little spot! Loved the perch and fries. Some of the best fried fish I’ve ever had. Good sized portions too!
