Pasties! Soups! Kelly is simply a great cook!

I had a pastie. My wife had a gluten pastie. Both very good. Certainly not a tourist pastie, but a real "fill-me-up-with-solid-goodness" meal fit for anyone. I've had several pasties that weren't that good or just made for a tourist who won't be coming back. These pasties are made for people they want to keep coming back.

I recently visited the Griffin Family Cafe at 200 Michigan St #313 in Hancock, MI. I drove by the location once trying to find it. It's inside the academic building located there. The atmosphere is like a typical hospital type cafeteria. I was greeted timely and got my coffee and went over the menu. My eggs and bacon and toast were all great and they did a great.job. well worth a visit

Our catered wedding dinner had so much food for the price and it was fantastic. A special shout out to Kelly for her attentiveness to my gluten free needs.

We like the pasties and my sister-in-law loved her gluten-free pasty. The sandwiches are good too. Thanks Kelly for always being so welcoming and friendly.

Griffin Cafe catered my family gathering for a remembrance of my mother. Kelly was great to work with for planning, setting up, and serving the event. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the pasties and the pulled pork was amazing. (Kelly even was able to provide a gluten free pasty on short notice) I will definitely visit this cafe on my next visit and I highly recommend their catering services.

A cozy café with friendly service and a beautiful view of the Portage Canal! Incredible omelettes and the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had! They are giant and have baked cinnamon apples in the center of the roll! They also just started selling Pannukakku. I tried it and it is definitely the best in the Keweenaw! The flavorful raspberry topping pairs excellently with the super thick pancake slice. Perfect eggy texture and crispy golden crust make this the perfect hearty breakfast item!

Vegetarian options: Delicious veggie omelettes, bakery items, and breakfast burritos. Staff are happy to customize orders for you.

Dietary restrictions: If I let them be aware of the dietary restrictions they let me know what they have available and how they can accommodate and is so sweet and respectful about it ❤️

Kid-friendliness: She has a lot of healthy options for children! Fresh fruits is my son and daughters favorite SHE OFFERS A CUP FULL!

Wheelchair accessibility: Their is a ramp on the right of the building and push button for automatic door. Not sure if the button works ?

Very friendly staff, all smiles and they were all awesome with my youngest. Gave us a real "home feel" welcome and couldn't have asked for friendlier service. Food was great, even my little one ate like a champ and that really speaks for the quality of the food too! 10/10 recommend for a great meal!Thank you for your great restaurant.
