I make the 15 min drive all the way here and pass 4-5 different pizza places to go here. I really like the sauce they use and their cheese bread is one of the best around. I also like that they have XL pizzas as well. We always have a lot of people to feed. Our orders are always right, always hot and always really good. Another bonus is they give cash back on the upside app as well. Great pizza places all the way around.

I have had multiple bad experiences with Carlos on South River. I recently ordered a pizza for delivery and was told it would be delivered in 40 minutes. After waiting an hour, I called to inquire about the status of my order, and I was told it was currently on the way to my house. After another 25 minutes I called again and was told that order would not be delivered for another hour. At this point I decided to cancel the order and request that my money be refunded to the credit card that I used to pay for my order. I was put on the phone with a manager who was extremely rude and was told that the money could not be refunded to my credit card. There was no apology or even acknowledgment that anything was wrong. My options were to wait an hour for my order or drive up to Carlos to get a cash refund. The reason I ordered delivery was because I did not have access to a car. To make matters worse the manager was extremely disrespectful and swore at me as I was getting off the phone. I used to really enjoy this pizza place, but as of recent I have been really disappointed. I do not plan on ordering from here again.

We ordered two Italian subs and Carlo bread. And everything was great we split a sub. But then I went to cut the next sub just to nibble on it and there was no meat no meat at all. I am very upset. We stopped going here. We started doing Sorrento’s for a long time and I should’ve went back there. OK bye-bye. The lady that delivered our food was wonderful!! I would love a phone call.

I’ve been going here for lunch since I started working out here but today I had the absolute best slice of pizza possibly in my life. They do a Detroit slice so well. Best lunch slice around!!!

It is great when you are put on hold, and they never come back. Pretty disappointing, we like their pizza, but stopped going there for a long time due to sub-par service. Thought it would have changed.
My husband went to Carlos' for pizza and salad. Although the Carlos' pizza did not disappoint (it's always great!), the Greek salad did disappoint. The hothouse tomatoes were bland and tasteless and there was a very scant amount of feta cheese. I have edited my original review because someone from Carlos pointed out that their Greek salads never have beets or pepperoncinis. We have been going to Carlos' in Harrison Township for 30 years....and years ago they did have beets and pepperoncinis. My apologies for making it seem that Carlos' had shorted us beets and pepperoncinis, as they are no longer ingredients in their Greek salads. Again, we love Carlos' pizza.....it never disappoints! And, the staff are always warm and friendly. They are definitely the best pizza place in town; however,at $8.75 their small salad is a hard pass for me. Next time I go back I will buy one of their other tasty offerings with my pizza ...like wings or pasta:)

Some of the best pizza I've had from around the entire US. And I've had pizza from over 35 states. A local shop that treats their customers right, makes great pizzas at a very reasonable price and their pizzas are very big. They make other food as well though I can only speak to their pizza. Not a place to sit down and eat though. Order your food, pick it up and go enjoy it!
