I've been going there since it opened aound 1977 (used to be DeAngelo's). When it's done right it's the best I've ever had. I eat a lot of pizza! It seems like every third visit or so I get a greasy, soupy, orange mess. I think part of the problem is that it's not cooked long enough and then given time to settle. Service is always excellent.

I'm a pizza snob from Chicago and wanted to try the best Detroit Style on offer. After a little research I landed on this place and it does not disappoint. I got sausage and pepperoni and I loved every bite. I'm not normally a crust guy either, I throw that away more often than not. So when I say this crust is amazing that's no small thing. Outside of Chicago this is one of my favorite pizzas. I'll be back for more.

Place was very friendly. Relaxing fun atmosphere. This may be the first time in my life saying this... pizza has way too much cheese. Tasty.. but yeah lots and lots and lots of cheese on the pizza

Picked up pizza and breadsticks. Everything was delicious and as ordered. Only hiccup was that it was suppose to be ready in 30 mins and it was almost an hour.

Delicious deep dish pizza!!!By far one of the best places ive ever been!!Good salads as well. Service was great and loved the inside vibes. Would definitely eat again no pizza compares.

Have been coming there for a long time but after today it will be the last time. Pizza was like a can of sauce was pored on it. No taste crust on the outside was burned and bottom crust had to be cut with knife.

When you want Louis no other pizza will do. it's one of a kind REAL Detroit style pizza. the cheese pull is like no other, and the crispy edges of the pizza..ugh. Don't get me started on the antipasto salad with the creamiest cheese you can imagine! Do yourself a favor...
We experienced Loui’s Pizza for the first time today! It did not disappoint. Everyone has wonderful from the salad, to the bread and of course, the pizza! We had a little bit of a wait but it wasn’t too bad. We will come back!

It's exactly what a classic place should be. Centered on family time, not a bunch of TVs. Best old school Detroit pizza in the country. Great salad, and I always get a quart of meat sauce to go. I make guidos (Italian nachos) with it.

I stopped here while visiting Detroit after reading it's one of the consensus places to get Detroit-style pizza. It did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious pizza. You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients, from the sauce to the cheese to the toppings. When I checked out of my hotel the next day, I forgot the leftovers in the room fridge; I went back to the hotel to get them. That's how good this pizza is.
Parking: Parking lot fills up quickly. I got one of the last spaces when I arrived despite tables being available inside. When I left, another car was waiting to take my spot
