This place is amazing ! The owner is a renowned chef who has an amazing resume of different types of restaurants he has owned or managed. Ranging from fine dining to fast casual. He has done so much to the building and the business. This place used to be a hole in the wall but now it’s a wonderful BBQ Tavern that serves great food with a family friendly environment to go along with it. If you’re from the area or driving by, I totally recommend trying this place out !
Tried Evergreen Tavern for the first time today and my husband and I really enjoyed it! They had staff call in so it was just the owners running the lunchtime shift. The wife apologized several times and we kept saying it was totally ok (we weren’t in a hurry). Glad we tried it out because the food was great and we got to chat with the wife and hear more of their story with transitioning to Evergreen, their family, etc. GOOD people, GOOD food, and GOOD atmosphere!! Hope it was just an off night to go there. They were out of chili at 4:30. No tomatoes on brisket nachos which were heaped high but little brisket on them. I had them before and they were good.
