Les Cheneaux Culinary School

Delicious food, great establishment, we had great camaraderie and wine too! We were a group of 14!!!!!

This restaurant is a must if you visit the Les Cheneaux area! Fresh takes on culinary delights! Excellent food and even late in the season, our service was stellar!M

This was the second time here in the past 3 years and both times greatly exceeded my expectations for quality of food, service and ambiance. A real "Foodie" gem in a very remote area of Michigan. I will schedule future trips to the UP around stopping here for dinner.

We had an exceptional experience at your restaurant. We were greeted, seated, ordered cocktails, and an appetizer. The view of the water was beautiful. The main course was one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. Kudos to the entire staff!

Our experience was even better than expected. Staff were friendly and professional. Our server was fantastic; singing happy birthday to a neighboring table in amazing operatic fashion. The food! Omg the food! Savory, well-prepared, delicious, beautiful presentation, seasoned perfectly... I could go on and on about the food. Five well deserved stars.

Jumbo was just-right spicy and full of seafood and meat. Salad was refreshing and perfectly dressed. Green curry whitefish was amazing with coat of toasted almonds. Cornbread, gluten-free, was soft and fine-grained. Server was unhurried, attentive, interactive...and the same for other servers we noticed. Porch was perfect place to watch the harbor. A beautiful evening where dining provided with great food, nice ambience, and good value. Put it on your summer to-do list: "must dine at Les Cheneaux Culinary School Restaurant"!

Every experience here is amazing! The food, the staff, and the ambiance. It is our favorite place to escape to!

We were greeted by a friendly host who sat us on the porch with a view of the harbor. It was our anniversary and we received a gift of a split of Prosecco. Lovely. Our waiter, Ben, was professional and friendly. Knowledgeable about the menu and inquired of the chefs a few times for us to clarify a sauce. We started with the Rangoons dipped in a wild mushroom paste and the barata with prosciutto with a mint pea purée served on toast. Both were unique and delicious. For dinner we had the NY strip-well marinated and cooked to a perfect medium rare and the whitefish deconstructed Roti which was a flavorful peanut encrusted whitefish on a bed of rice-served in a bowl with a roti wrap aside. The curry sauce that accompanied the fish we asked to be served on the side as we were concerned of how spicy it might be. It was rich but not too spicy and complemented the mild delicate fish well. Dessert was a rich chewy dark chocolate brownie, ala mode with a blueberry chocolate sauce. Wonderful. We had a Willamette Pinot Noir which paired perfectly with the meal from starters to dessert. We so enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter Ben, was exceptionally attentive and took care to make sure we were comfortable and he did a great job of timing the meal courses. We'd love to dine at the Les Cheneaux Culinary again soon. Bravo!!

The food was amazing! The waitstaff was knowledgable and the atomsphere just right. I highly reccomend dinig here! Whatever restaurant hires these students as their chefs, will be serving delicious food!

Outstanding food. We love our meal of small plates. We had salad, salmon tartare, focaccia with goat cheese and mushroom Rangoon. The salad dressing was light and tasty.

The best dish I've had in a long time. Creative and beautiful whitefish dish served promptly and at the proper temperature (!). Delicious. Excellent service, nice ambience inside or out. We will return
