Awkward welcoming and no personality from the workers what so ever… the cakes are dry and flavorless, buttercream is like hard lard and the cheesecake and banana pudding are whipped and not good at all… no thanks.

The food was excellent, but the service was horrible! The cashier made it obvious that she didn't want to be there. When we walked in, she didn't speak or even look at us. In fact, she went to the back and stayed there for a while. When she finally came back, she asked what we wanted and made no eye contact. She was very rude.
The food was incredible. Very reasonably priced, especially considering everything was freshly made with quality ingredients. My corned beef sandwich was as good as any I have ever had and my husband said his sandwich was the best he had ever tasted. He said it was well worth the drive (we live 25 minutes away). The service was impeccable and you could see the owner took pride in the we establishment. I highly recommend!!!

AMAZING dessert shop, but don't sleep on the sandwiches! We ordered 18 sandwiches, fries, and a rum cake for a company holiday lunch. Cakes & Shakes came thru to the highest degree. Every sandwich was made with care. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. The Woodward Ave. had the best caramelized onions I have ever tasted. The friendly staff were a cherry on top of the experience. We will be back for sure!
