I've only been here twice. The first time wasn't great, but we wanted to give them a second chance. Today, we left without even ordering. The table was filthy even after we watched it get wiped. They brought coffee in a filthy cup. There was a film on the top of the coffee and the handle was sticky. The paper menus were so filthy and stained that we couldn't even read them. We ended up just leaving 3 bucks on the table and getting out of there. I hope the 3 bucks was enough for the chocolate milk that was drunk, but we just couldn't stay there another second, and there was nobody in the dining room to tell. I've seen a lot of reviews that this place has gone downhill, and I'm going to agree with them.

Worse place we have ever ate!! After seating our selfs it took 10 minutes for the waitress to bring filthy paper menus, then water coffee, the Worse more like water with a drip of coffee. they had no creamer not that you would need it for water. Then the very unfriendly waitress took our order I ordered a southern omelet with rye toast my husband ordered a burger when the food came my omelet had no gravy and gave me heals for toast which was not even toasted. my husband's burger had absolutely no toppings and fries were little pieces of fries awful you could probably get better food in prison. I wanted to leave right then very bad coffee bad service bad food bad atmosphere!! Called waitress over an asked were the gravy was and what about toppings for the burger? She said they didn't have any she would see if they could figure it out. We should have left right then. After waiting another 15 minutes the waitress came back over with a bowl of warm milk with sausage in it and told me they figured it out gross and still no toppings for husbands burger! Disgusting!! Ok so if you order something they cannot cook correctly you should tell your customers your out of it so they can order something else not serve a meal missing all the toppings and key ingredients!! Throughout this awful experience the waitress never apologized, never smiled and did not greet us opon arrival very depressed atmosphere!! Should have left.Worse place we have ever eaten!! I would give it -10 if I could. it was also dirty I honestly don't know how there in business. They should be shut down! Very disappointed Yuck!!

Underrated, love a good Ole greasy spoon. Small yes but the food is like old school home cooking ( speaking on breakfast) as that's all we've eaten there for years

I have ordered breakfast food from here 1 other time and it was really good. Today wanted breakfast for lunch so ordered from grub hub. Had sausage omelet, american fries and toast. Didn't expect much regarding the toast due to being take out. The toast ended up being the only edible thing. Sausage didn't taste like sausage, omelet was gross tasting and the American fries came in little pea size pieces and was not crispy at all and didn't taste good. I'm especially disappointed because I had to order extra for door dash so ordered extra american fries to use for dinner, but am rethinking that. Hope I don't get sick.

We always try to give local restaurants a chance, especially when we have family visiting from out of town. We wanted to try D’s, so why not. Walking in should have been the first sign to turn right back around but we weren’t trying to judge a book by its cover. After finding a place to sit, it took about 10 minutes for us to be greeted and another 15 minutes to order just drinks we didn’t think too much into it. It was busy at the time & the waitress seemed to be the only one there. We were given menus that we were all afraid to touch. They were paper & dirty with stains from every meal known to man. The silverware had crusty food on them. Not to mention we had time to fully observe our surroundings, pictures attached. Don’t ask me why we still stuck around, but we did. After we ordered, we waiting for over an hr to get our food. We were then told the fryer wasn’t working and no fries. The BLT’s were served with chips that were taken out of a bag with open hands not gloved and very greasy bacon. The kids grilled cheese was served with fries after we were told there weren’t any…nasty grease filled brown logs of potatoes. They were not even touched. The 2 Eggs breakfast bacon was also very greasy. Only thing eaten were the scrambled eggs. They also forgot the toast & American Fries. It came later, but at that point, we were almost done eating. The half order of biscuits & gravy. The biscuits were very doughy and not edible. The Farmers Omelette was pretty good, honestly no complaints, until we were driving home. You can use your imagination. In the end, we paid over $60 not including tip for meals that were greasy, almost inedible and made us very happy we were close to home and have more than one bathroom.I truly wish I could have wrote a better review.

Horrible food. Service was terrible. Took 25 minites to get our meal. They were out of 3 kinds of bread for toast. No coffee ready. Couldn't get cream. Potatoes were overcooked and were like mashed potatoes instead of hash browns. Never again! Gave them a second chance and not wasting $27 for breakfast there

Went in yesterday for lunch. First time here as we were from out of town. The place is in dire need of a face lift inside. Recieved paper menus that were wrinkled and stained. Food was not good. An omelet made my coworker feel sick. My chicken sandwich was slightly overcooked and bun was flat. My fries were gross. I've never had a bad French fry in my life. These were bad. Tasted like the fryer hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The waitress serving us was friendly. But all the staff seemed frustrated with each other at times and even overheard some cussing and swearing. Don't know the context of it all. Worst food we've ever had and certainly won't be going back if we're ever back in town, and we will be back in town for work in the near future. Cannot recommend anyone go to D's.

The waitress we had was horrible. Thank goodness we were able to get a different waitress, or we would have been there forever. The food and coffee was great. The place could have been cleaner

Been coming here for over 20 years! Food is always great and the family is all one of a kind! Best breakfast spot around hands down!

Aside from today, it's been 10 years since we have last dined at D's- we use to love the place. After today, we will never dine there again. The staff, including the cooked, directly touched and handled all of our food without gloves on. They were just flinging our food from countertop to plate with their bare, dirty hands. When I confronted the staff that I watched them touch our food with their bare hands, they lied and told me they used tongs. The wait staff and cooks ate their breakfast (@10am), putting their fingers in their mouths as they ate their breakfast meats, while customers waited at their tables for their orders to be prepared. After fillng their belly, staff returned to the work area without washing their hands and began touching plates, glasses, and customers food. Then our breakfast sausage patties were under cooked, the poached eggs were cooked beyond their hardest, and my bowl of oatmeal was served in a little cup. I had to ask 3 times for my OJ. To top off our atrocious visit, as we were leaving, the cook let out a loud powerful sneaze and never covered his mouth- Snot/Saliva spray everywhere! The service and food at D's is now gross, disrepectful, violating, and a bio-hazard.

Place wasn't that clean, person cooking food was coughing, and not even covering their mouth. Picking trash off floor without washing his hands. I was going to order, but made an excuse and just left as I don't know how this place stays in business operating how it does

We have been here multiple times, usually after a drunken night of dancing and parting (at least 25 years ago). Best greasy spoon around. Today however, literally broke our hearts. Ordered breakfast for lunch as we remembered it to be really good. My oh-my has this place changed. The omelet was dry, and tasteless and the gravy, well, lets say the flavor of the local cardboard box on the side of the road would have been better. They ask what kind of bread for toast, you tell them and they bring something different. They say oh we ran out, so they just picked one! What?? I can say the larger issue wasn't the toast, or even the lack luster of the desired cafe, but it WAS the flavor and quality of the food. I think you can do better, I know you can do better! We all know times are difficult, and might pose an issue if a sourced vendor could be blamed, however they are making runs to Kroger to restock their needs and a lack of flavor knowledge is the clear answer here. Sorry to say I think "D" would be thoroughly disappointed.

Great food served quickly at a fair price, sure, but it’s the warm, homey community feel that gets you. Very friendly, obviously decent people running the show. I wouldn’t hesitate to get an omelette here again any time.
