Not a picky person but the dinner we had Tuesday night was TERRIBLE. I ordered the beef tips and they were inedible. Couldn't even chew them. And the "fresh" vegetable was cold canned green beans. Seemed like our server didn't want to be there... we wanted another drink but took so long we gave up. Very disappointed for our night out.

Fist visit since management changed (several years). Party of 6, made reservation for 4:50 PM, arrived on time but had to wait 5 minutes for our table to be set up. Waitress was timely delivering ordered beverages ($4.50 Vodka martini, $2.50 soft drink). Friday night but no dinner or drink specials advertised. Ordered Spaghettis & Sausage ($16.00) and Cod ($16.00 + $1.00 up charge for sweet potato fries). Thick layer of cheese was baked over the sausage and spaghettis, came with two small pieces of garlic bread and a thin sauce. Cod was delicious, breading was tasty. Both dishes were pleasantly presented, of good quantity and correct temperature. No soup, salad or dessert was included with the meals. Service was fair (had to ask for water and soft drink refills). Noise levels in the dining area made conversation difficult. There is a separate bar area that did not contribute to noise. Plenty of parking, clean facility, well lit.
Let me start by saying that the service was excellent. The hostess and the waitress were so kind and personable! Because of how great they were, I'd be happy trying a different meal another time...Onto food. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the pizza (which we got for the whole group). When it came to our table, it was straight up white with no browning on it, so it looked a bit underdone. This might just be our personal preference. Cheese was way too chewy. Maybe a cheese blend would do better than straight up mozzarella? It was hard to eat.Again, I'm happy to come back in and try another meal because the staff was so incredible.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!

This summer I threw a surprise 70th birthday party for my wife for about 24 people. After checking a dozen or so places in the area, I decided on the Dukes and I couldn't be happier about my decision. They catered quickly to our every request and gave us a whole room to ourselves. They let us bring in our own decorations and we were all able to stand up, move around and mingle with each other. Besides that, the food was great, the prices very fair and the manager went out of her way to make sure we were well served. If you're looking for a place for your next party, I strongly recommend the Dukes of Highland. Ken W.

They have the best fried mushrooms!! Service was okay & I love getting the Greek salad with blackened chicken on it.. the music you can hardly hear which is a bummer because now you hear all the clinking of dishes etc & everyone's conversation, then you leave & can hear the music great outside walking to your car. Dumb
