We usually eat at this Leo’s Coney Island at least once a week and have always enjoyed it, but today marks the third time this year we’ve had a bad experience here. Normally, you can expect to spend about 30 minutes from the time you sit down to when you leave. This time, hoping for a quick dinner, we ended up spending a frustrating 1 hour and 15 minutes.
When we walked in, most of the tables were still dirty. I gave them a pass on that at first, figuring they had just gone through a rush, but traffic seemed pretty normal by the time we were seated. After the waitress took our order, we waited around 40 minutes for our food. During that entire time, they never stopped by to check on us or see if we needed drink refills. When the food finally arrived, both our fries were cold, and the chicken pita and chicken sandwich tasted like they had been sitting out for a while.
We asked for fresh fries, which surprisingly came out fairly quickly, but the overall experience had already gone downhill. What really confused me was seeing two other tables arrive, get their food, and even pay their bill before we had finished eating. Not sure what happened tonight, but it was disappointing, especially from a place we’ve been loyal to for so long.

Went this Morning, service was just okay. I noticed the servers spend a lot of time chatting with each other while food sits in the ready window, as a result food is usually not served hot... Generally warm to cold!. They are also charging an egg surcharge which isn't warranted or listed on the menu. I wanted a gyro omelette but was told it would be extra for tzatziki and feta cheese!! Ridiculous!! When I mentioned these things at checkout I was basically told you can go elsewhere if you like... Fine, we WILL!!!
To the owner reply - yes, you have the only Leo's on Milford road. When I was charged an extra .50 cent's for the #1 breakfast special - that's what your cashier told me. Also surprised that's the only issue you addressed in your reply... Nothing about the food being served late and the staff standing Around chatting when food sits in the window... Nothing about extra charges for normal ingredients in a gyro omelette.
