Went here once and that was enough to learn that if this is the 'best' Hillsdale has to offer this town is in culinary trouble. Big time! The food was mediocre at best. Service was not great and prices are ridiculous for what you get. Management is clearly not interested in serving good food. The high star ratings for this place means those people don't know good food or they're friends with the owners, management or staff.

Food was great, took quite awhile to get, but worth the wait. Service was good most of the time, but lacking at times. Atmosphere is really good, one reason we go there.
I ordered a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was all very good. We also tried their fried pickles with their dill dip.They are delicious ? I never thought I would try fried pickles, so I'm very happy I did try them.

Yesterday me and my boyfriend came her for Valentine's Day dinner. We ordered the "sampler" which consisted of onion rings, potato skins, chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks. Our server brought the plate out to us and we thought it wasn't what we ordered. You couldn't even tell what was what, the plate looked like it had fried shit on it.. then our entrees come out and I ordered the salmon. The salmon tasted awful, the rice wasn't even cooked all the way, the flavor was awful, and the veggies looked like they had been microwaved. My boyfriend got the Mac n cheese burger and the patty was wet and falling apart. Then on top of our awful dinner, our server was being yelled at by the owner I'm guessing? Then he continued to make fun of her infront of customers. So unprofessional and rude. This place used to be good but now we will never be eating here again! Waste of money! I would say the best part of our dinner was walking out of the restaurant. If you're looking for something really good, the "here's to you pub and grub" is the best in Hillsdale.
