Creative food, excellent drink and wine options- service was very good; a little noisier than I would have expected but I think it was just some of the tables around us unfortunately.
We absolutely loved the service at Butch's Dry Dock, the food was just as amazing and we were even more surprised by the cost of it all (in the best way)!
I had the Chicken Burrata entree and my husband had the Flank Steak and both were excellent! Service was great and so was the atmosphere! We'll be back!!
For a visit with friends we hadn't seen in 40 years (!) we picked Butch's Dry Dock because we'd been there twice years ago. The reviews still looked wonderful. It was everything we remembered it to be: classy but not stuffy. Delicious food. Courteous staff. They were kind about us lingering at our table (after all we had 40 years of catching up to do!). We had a wonderful time. A wonderful meal. 2 wonderful bottles of wkne and a wonderful experience.
We have eaten here many times. For the price point they command, I expect 5 star service. I suspect we had a very new server. My wife had to refill her water twice with mine. We were sat for about 10 minutes before we were greeted. We waited over 5 minutes for an extra side plate and had to ask for it again after 5 minutes. Personality was not engaging. She did not know what was REALLY in the specials when I asked some questions. I love Butch's but expect better service.
Always outstanding meal, ambiance, drinks. We were there on a Friday night - the only issue was that they must have been short handed as the service was excellent but slow - which wasn't an issue for us as we were there to spend time together 🙂
We had great seats at the window. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. A little delay in getting our dessert after ordering it. Overall we did enjoy our time there.
We had a lovely experience from the beginning of our engagement with Butch's staff. They returned a call earlier in the day in a timely manner to confirm the reservation and dress code. They seated us in the more "formal" dining area with a lovely table for two in the window. This turned out to be a bit of serendipity as we not only got to people watch, but watch the fire truck parade that took place down 8th Street. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food delisious (can't get enough of the pate!). The space is lovely and romantic but also private for friends to be able to talk without hearing or being overheard by others. Overall, a wonderful experience and we look forward to dining there again next time we are in Holland!
Great Anniversary dinner! Steak and chicken we're both delicious. We were also delivered a free glass of lovely wine. Thank you Butch's!
Drove in from Columbus yesterday with a couple of stops taking us a little longer than planned. Hungry for really good food. Snatched the reservation and were promptly seated in the casual section (worked!). Started with blue crab dip and you get crostini bread and apple slices. OMG what a combo those apple slices were legit the the drip. We had our eye on the burgers and Sutton then told us about the special: NY Strip with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Enough said. Ditched the burgers and two specials, please. I got two glasses of Bordeaux and he had two Great Lakes brews. Seriously not a super expensive meal - expected to pay more - and were more than pleasantly surprised with the location, the food, the drinks and Sutton WAS AWESOME. Highly recommend.

Our experience was very good! Erin assisted us at a comfortable pace and was helpful in selecting drinks and entrees. The cocktails, wine, and food were delicious. We really appreciated the comp on our dessert for our anniversary.
Food was decent. Service slow. Sat outside which was nice. Ambience was acceptable. Would definitely go back.
My salmon was dry and the polenta was flavorless. The noise level was very high and usually when we visit Butch's it is not. We waited very long for our drinks. Also the Caesar salad was blah tasting.
Butch's was a wonderful surprise in Holland Michigan. The menu was creative and the food was spectacular. We had the Risotto and the Chicken Burrata which were both outstanding.
The duck was slightly under done. The server was outstanding. The music and ambience were enjoyable. A lovely evening and an excellent dining experience.
