The price doesn’t always match the value. We had a party of five. Someone asked for bread and there was a nine dollar charge for four slices of bread. Then we asked for another bowl of bread once again, another nine dollars for four slices of bread. at some point this is ridiculous for a $350

Butch's was great. We were on a Cabin Fever break and staying downtown Holland. We met friends and had delightful, elegant dinner. Atmosphere was terrific. Staff friendly. We will go there again and again.

I had an amazing birthday dinner at Butch’s! The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. We ordered the garlic frites, pork belly, flank steak, filet mignon, bistro burger, and flourless chocolate torte (free for my birthday). It’s hard to pick favorites but the pork belly, filet mignon, and chocolate torte were beyond incredible with unique and delicious flavor combinations. We also had cocktails and wine, our favorites being the Negroni and Cabernet Sauvignon. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. Hands down, this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Holland!

The ambiance is nice, but unfortunately our meal was nothing special. My steak came out room temperature / cold, and the chicken was just okay - especially for the price. Our service was also quite slow and we were never given the special menu for Valentine's Day, which we would have ordered off of if given the chance. Unfortunately we will probably not return.

I’m not one to review places, but this was one of the worst meals I’ve personally had out. I made a reservation 3 weeks ago only to end up getting a seat right next to the hostess booth. Ordered a flank steak med rare that came out 50% shingle dry and 50% raw and food was all cold. I will say the drinks were fantastic and service was good so no love lost there, but would highly recommend hiring chefs that understand how to cook a steak so it doesn’t come out raw and extremely tough. Overall, I think the food is overpriced for what you get but they can get away with it being downtown holland. Definitely better places to visit if you make the trip downtown.

We found it very nice to get our table 30min earlier . The ambiance is not really great with all the cars shining into the restaurant. And it was cold too . Our cocktails were ok . The appetizer good , one was little burnt. Entrees also ok , but nothing outstanding. We had to help ourselves with water , silverware and drinks . I would not really invite my friends to this place , maybe this was the reason to get a table in holland .

We love Butch's. The apps - crab dip, pork belly, and frites were great. All the entrees were dynamite. Love the marinated flank steak and the chili fish. Peachy Canyon zin is always a must as well.

I've been to this restaurant twice. I'm never the type to send my food back or complain but my steak that I requested medium was bright red and shiny in the middle, and had a raw texture. My food was also cold. I sent it back to request it to be cooked more. My steak still came back red and shiny. The last time my rice was undercooked and crunchy. I will not be returning.

Yesterday Thursday the 18th me and my wife to Butchs for a scound time. We went early to have a drink before dinner. The staff and service was great from the second we walked in. My wife decided to have the scallop appetizer and a side salad. She just love them both.My self on the other hand do you now the old saying fool me ones shame on you fool me twice shame on me well it happed again. Last time I was thier with my wife for our anniversary I order the filet (35$) think it would be at least 8oz it was not even close. To make it look bigger they butterflied it might have been 6oz. I did say something and was told it was do to the raising cost of everything. I think you should put on the menu size of the filet. Last night I ordered the sea food stew. When the waitress told use about it she said it had shrimps scallop muscles and salmon in an broth. Sound good and have odered it past at many please and like it. When She was done telling use about it did not think much of it but she did not tell use how much it was. It turned out. When I got the check it was the Most expensive item on the menu at 44$ five dollars more then anything else. The dish itself only had 2 quarter size scallop same for the shrimp and one one quarter size salmon. Along with a halfed frigrling potato and a piece of anise that was cut in half (which I could not even cut it with the steak knife that I was given not sure why I was given that knife)The dish had no muscles and an okay broth. That little dish 44 dollarsJames Mulvey

We came early for dinner. There were a whole host of tables open but the wait was 45+ mins. (I can’t speak to servers or staff)There is nothing really to actually complain about but here is the rub.Butch’s is supposed to be a bit of an experience and is priced in that fashion. The last few times we’ve been here, the service is mediocre and the food has is just okay. This was similar. Our server was pleasant, but did not come around. I would have ordered another drink, but our waitress did not spend the time to actually come to our table and ask. She took our order and it was over. The steak I ordered was good but not cooked as ordered. (Medium but was medium rare for the most part.)The chicken my wife ordered had flavor but also was undercooked. (Chicken undercooked!?)All in all it’s a pleasant place to sit down but the service is lacking and the food is average at best.

First time here for all four of us. Like the ambience & spaceI had a filet. My steak was okay. Nothing special. Chicken, flank steak and scallops & salad. Everyone else said theirs was great. I felt that our waitress was just going through the motions.

This was our second time dinning at Butch's and once it again it was outstanding. The starters, salads and entrees were the best. It is a very relaxing place to dine after spending the day shopping in the great Holland downtown. The cocktails were also very good as was the "select your own" wine system that they have.
