I am Mexican and I never thought I would experience racism from Mexicans in a Mexican restaurant. I am visiting Holland and I chose this restaurant because it has very good reviews, but I sat down and waited for about 20 minutes and no one took my order, more customers came in and they all got served and I got ignored. I had to leave the place without breakfast and go to another restaurant.

Operated by a West Ottawa graduate. The food was excellent, arriving soon, but not too soon. I ordered a dish something spicy. It definitely was; had to order sour cream to extinguish the fire in my mouth. That’s what I wanted; that’s what I got. I will definitely be back with my friends and an extinguisher.

Local place. Order took longer than most other Mexican foods, but we were fine with that since they were making it fresh. Wife and I both enjoyed our meals. Definitely a holler in the wall place. No sign along the street, just on the building so we passed by it initially.

My wife and I are at Don Miguel's for dinner. It's about 5:30 pm on Monday afternoon.Accessibility:Parking is available in front of the restaurant along with handicap parking and only the slightest of inclines. The restaurant is busy with many take out orders as well.Restroom:Men's had some stains on the floor, but clean overall.Environment:Very casual, there are some wheeled carts, along with metal and plastic buckets on the floor. There are also a few large interesting plants. Some remodels may be warranted, just my opinion.Food flavors:Food flavors are spot on. The refried beans are excellent. The fried rice could use a bit more spices. The ground beef tacos were also very good along with the barbacoa burrito. I would give the food and flavor a solid five stars.The chips and salsas(plural) were delicious and are probably homemade. My wife really liked the avocado and green tomato salsa.Gluten friendly.Taco Tuesday:This site is extremely budget friendly. Come here for 99 cent tacos. We dined in and grabbed some takeout.

I stopped by for lunch a week ago and was very happy to have finally dropped by. Despite having operated in Holland for almost 30 years in one place or another I had never noticed them before. It’s a cozy, no-frills sort of place, and the service was excellent. I ordered two al pastor tacos and menudo, and I was happy with my meal (although it was more than I should’ve had). The menudo was very clean tasting and the tripe was quite tender. Everything was very flavorful and the prices weren’t bad. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re in the mood for Mexican food in that part of town.

My husband and I recently moved from Florida and have been missing authentic Mexican food, so we were excited to have found Don Miguel so close to our home. We just had lunch here for the first time, and the food is sooo delicious. I had the lunch combo and my husband had the enchiladas poblano, and we both loved our food. We will absolutely be back!
