We had a reservation at 10 pm and we’re waiting for a friend outside. At 10:10 pm a lady locked the door just in front of us without a comment and they didn’t let us in anymore. Even when calling them they didn’t open. Ridiculous and very inappropriate.

Long-time customer here. My wife and I really enjoy the Obstacle #1—a smoky old fashioned. We stopped in tonight and ordered it “not sweet,” but were told it’s now premade. Unfortunately, it was extremely sweet and basically undrinkable for us. We paid and left the drinks. We won’t be back

Great spot for fancy cocktails. May need to wait a bit to grab a spot, but definitely worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back! Really talented bartenders and the atmosphere is great!
The BEST experience and drinks! We were visiting family, we are from Nashville, and we were so happy to have found Obstacles No. 1! John was such a wonderful help and bartender. The vibe was incredible and drinks were top tier!

If you’re looking for a bougie night out, look no further. The ambiance is dark and moody, and the drinks are an absolute craft. You can order tapas from Poquito next door without leaving the excellent comfortable booths of Obstacle 1. Well worth it!

I know my craft, and this place is the essence of everything I’ve ever learned about a cocktail and so much more. Every drop of the spirits who concoct these magnificent spirits shines through. To call it special isn’t fair. It’s so much more. When you fall into this wonderment, you will understand what it is to be captivated by scent, by feel, by taste and by something so special that you cannot compare it to anything else you’ve ever experienced.
